So, it looks like it's going to come down to Colgate and Lehigh if both teams win this weekend.
They will meet in a game shown on CBS Sports Network on Nov. 10.
I know Lehigh is ranked #8 in the country, but having watched both of these teams play I don't see how Lehigh will be able to stop Colgate. It is kind of remarkable to think about given the horrible season Colgate had last year, and the fact that the lost Nate Eachus who is making some serious contributions to the Chiefs this season.
Thoughts?

Patriot League Twitter Notebook - @patriotleaguefb *Colgate and Lehigh remain unbeaten in the Patriot League. *If both the Raiders and Mountain Hawks win on Saturday, they would set up a showdown for the Patriot League title next week in Bethlehem. *Lafayette still controls its own destiny, and would win the League crown and playoff berth with wins over Colgate on Saturday and Lehigh on Nov. 17. *Lehigh is the last undefeated team in the country after Cal Poly lost Saturday. *The Mountain Hawks lead the FCS with eight-game overall and 17-game regular-season win streaks. *Lehigh's 17-game win streak against Patriot League opponents is just two shy of the League record set by Holy Cross from 1988-92. *Fordham can record its first winning record since 2007 if it defeats Bucknell. *Colgate has scored 47 points or more in each of its four consecutive wins. *Five different Patriot Leaguers lead a category in the FCS statistics. *Colgate's Gavin McCarney leads the nation in scoring, and is also in the top 10 in points responsible for and passing efficiency. *Georgetown's Robert McCabe has an FCS-best 132 tackles, 30 more than any other player in the nation. *McCabe is seventh in Patriot League history with 380 tackles, becoming the first player this century to crack the top 10 list. *Colgate's Jordan McCord and Fordham's Carlton Koonce are in the top 10 in the nation in rushing and top 15 in all-purpose yardage.

Colgate put up 65 points today. Actually had 72 but the last play of the game got called back because of a hold. Crazy.

scores.espn.go.com/ncf/boxscore?gameId=323082142What a day for Gate's QB, McCarney. Wow. 200+ passing, 200+ rushing and a total of 5 TDs. Like I said after/during the gate game, I'd put money on them to rock Lehigh. Bucknell almost surprised Lehigh too today. IMO, Gate's line and offensive firepower are enough to surprise a team or two in the playoffs, assuming they earn the autobid. They don't have enough to make it as an at-large. I'd assume a 1 loss Lehigh at-large would but who knows.

Yea, I agree with you derhoya re: the at large. There's a slim chance though. When is the last time that the PL got two bids?

Yea, I agree with you derhoya re: the at large. There's a slim chance though. When is the last time that the PL got two bids? 2005 apparently - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2005_NCAA_Division_I-AA_football_seasonThe FCS playoffs are now allow 20 teams (has that changed again this year?), so I think the possibilities are there for Gate and a 1 loss Lehigh (their OOC was solid). I meant Lehigh almost got clocked by HC, oops.
