For whatever it's worth, I am hearing Georgetown is the favorite right now. Yeah, it seems G'town & FSU are out in front right now.. Hopefully it stays that way.. "I've heard from Cincinnati, Illinois, Wake Forest and a lot of different schools," Copeland said. "Florida State is recruiting me the hardest. I talk to them all the time, and Georgetown as well."Copeland hopes to play small forward in college and mix in time at power forward if need be. "Whichever the team needs me to play at, but I Iike to play the three more, but I understand if I play the four as well," Copeland said. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1453818

I know I am stating the obvious...but Isaac should be our top priority for '14. He'd be surrounded by shooters in Cameron, Domingo and DSR...defenses could not afford to double team him as a result. He'd have a ton of freedom in our offense an would thrive.

I don't want to hijack this thread, but if we ever see DSR, Cameron and Domingo playing simultaneously, that will likely be the worst Hoya defensive line-up since Jack Magee was the coach.

As bad as people think DSR is at defense, Austin was much much worse. Domingo isn't really that bad at D contrary to what Balla would say. Let's focus on Copeland though.

Domingo will be a good defender when all is said and done.

Let's focus on Copeland though. i disagree that Austin was worse. Definitely not good by any means but I never remember thinking during the course of a game MAN he's a horrible defender. Austin is MUCH quicker than DSR....objectively you can't be happy with what you've seen from DSR in general save from that first game. If you're an offensive assassin like Austin was...that makes up alot but DSR has been a liability thus far

Let's not evaluate freshmen defensively in their first 15 games. Almost all freshmen are terrible defensively. They don't know where to go, how to move their feet or how to use their size to their advantage.
Domingo has the capability to be a strong defender and DSR can get passable.
I cant believe anyone is really evaluating Cameron as a permanent defensive problem, when he's still in HS.

Are you kidding me?! Austin was absolutely horrid on D and didn't even try. DSR at least puts forth effort. That 08-09 team with Austin, Chris and Dajuan was easily worse at D than any lineup would be with DSR, Domingo and Cameron. I'm a big Chris Wright fan but his defense at that point in his career was atrocious and Dajuan was...well Dajuan. Anyway, as somebody said, why are we even judging the defensive skills of 2 freshman (1 of whom is HS age) and a HS player. If you want to spew nonsense like that, go to the Balla board where players are written off before they play a minute.

Whoa whoa whoa. I'm not writing off anyone before I've seen them. Objectively, after seeing DSR play, he is not a good defender. I also think he's a worse defender than Austin. That's all.
Can't comment on Cameron as I've never seen him play save for you tube. Not a good assessment. Does he look slow? Yes. Do I project he will be a poor defender? Sure. Am I writing him off? Hell no! Hope he is a great player for us. Why would I hope differently??

Stats are objective. Your observations are not.
Anyway, he is a frosh who has played 11 games in his career. Let's give him a chance.

I'm not sayin he can never be. Hope it changes. Again, as a fan, why would I wish it wouldn't?? Please don't mistake me for someone with a vendetta about a kid and won't change my opinion. That's just ridiculous. I'm entitled to my opinion as you are yours
Anyways....back to Copeland...

The next signing period isn't until mid-April Enj, the staff just needs to stay active/agressive with him for now.

I know. Would be nice if we got an early verbal from a top talent sober could then turn around and recruit another junior before the summer.
