Dawkins loved GU but Duke was his dream school. Once he told me Coach K had just started contacting him; I knew it was over. And it was.....he popped for Duke shortly after my interview.

Lock him up. He's only gonna get better. Back to Dakari, if last night didn't show him anything else; it should've shown him that we need a true 5. He had to see that. PT available immediately.

We have a great shot at copeland. As for dakari, idk what else this team has to show recruits they can contend. I mean we go toe to toe with the #1 team in the country and clearly we need a true center. I like hop but he is never going to be a defensive stopper.

And we ran jsk. Killed that myth. And our guards dribble drove and scored. Killed that myth. Nothing will get "killed" until you do it over a long enough time that you can point it out to people. We've seen Hoyas run up and down and beat better teams then Indiana was--but then revert to the way they get criticized for playing in kids eyes. You don't dispel years worth of negativity with 1 game. That being said--when a kid is receptive to this program and has talent--you better be proactive and the most aggressive team recruiting him. Have to do that to establish that not only is he talented--but he's important. Too many guys get put on back burner and then end up elsewhere. No more of that crap or the people failing to do what is expected need to be given re-evaluation of what their job responsibilities require.

For the most part I agree RDF but it feels/looks different this time to me.. In previous games against Memphis or Mizzou or Nova ect.. the Hoyas played faster mainly due to the other team pressing or pushing the pace of the game. This squad is pushing the ball in transition even when the opponent isn't pressing them. They even have begun to play faster after opponents makes too.. The team is so much more assertive this year to me To me the biggest change though is how JT3 has allowed the team to look for early offense outside of the system which is much different than in years past and they really seem to have the discipline to run their sets when nothing is there. JT3 is letting them play which is nice to see. I hope it continues.

you're right RDF, just like Markel needs to play like the last two nights all year. Obviously, I know it has to be done over the long hall. But at least for two nights GU dispelled the myth of not running and not featuring their guards. Now gotta get some bigs ready for BE.

Years ago the name John Thompson was the incentive to consider Georgetown. High school coaches in the south wanted their kids to play for Thompson. Assistant coaches only identified the recruits.
