Getting the feeling the staff is looking for that in 2016 class not the 2015 one.

Shout out to the staff for coming in on recruits before they are ranked high. Their scouting is amazing- if we also remember the rises of LJ Peak, Paul White, and Isaac Copeland last year. Rankings mean nothing, but our staff really knows what they are looking for and are doing great.
New 247 Rankings for Targets: #5 Ivan Rabb #6 Ray Smith #11 Dwayne Bacon #16 Allonzo Trier #18 Perry Dozier Jr #23 Jessie Govan COMMIT #38 Noah Dickerson COMMIT #46 Haanif Cheatham #67 Marcus Derrickson COMMIT
Again a big KUDOS to the staff!

Nice! When are the new Rivals rankings supposed to come out? I'm interested in seeing where our commitments end up there.

That 273 stuck out for me, too.

273? Does he need to get on the Dickerson program? I would take the "273" over 350. Definitely some work needs to be done.

Wow on the 247 Rankings. But more so on the wingspans of our bigs! 2 at 7'1 and 1 at 7'3 1/2 ?! That's going to help on D so much. I could care less about the 273 other than the effect on his knees.

He moves well for that weight. Damn that shocked me. He has indicated that the staff wants him to lose some lbs to play a 3/4 role.

No doubt about it, we are adding some serious bangers to our lineup. I love it.

Let's just add Rabb and Bacon and bump it up to #1.

hoopsintel.sportswar.com/2014/06/25/tevin-mack-updates-his-recruitment/Listing offers from Georgia, Clemson, VCU, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Houston, Mack did comment that he thought he was leaving out a few others. That in itself speaks volumes where the Dreher High product is heavily coveted by programs all throughout the major conferences. The savvy swingman also noted that he was being recruited by Georgetown, Tennessee, Kansas, and South Carolina. A bit of a quandary, Mack gave the rundown on where he stood with the hometown program.

So with Dickerson likely out, where do we see the 2015 class headed? In my mind, we continue to press hard on Rabb to the extent we have (and other top big men we are still following), but I think that the extra scholarship is even more reason to try to land at least two high quality guards in this class.
Obviously, if another high quality big man wants to come, we should take him immediately, but at this point, I feel like our odds of landing somebody else similar to Dickerson are lower than our odds of getting a high quality guard.
Are there any big men out there who might have passed on us because of Dickerson, Derrickson, and Govan's commitments, who might give us a more serious look now that we don't have Dickerson in the fold?

I would think we will have a better understanding once the live period is over. I would assume Rabb and Maker are 1/1A, but don't know where we stand with Skal. I also assume that Noah's decommit doesn't change anything with Comanche.

Buzz from Top 100 camp was Maker most likely ends up signing with an Adidas school Ville Ucla or IU… Basically they're looking for a Hi level Program where he can be featured and doesn’t have to play with a bunch of other 5 star talent.. If not one of those supposedly he loves Duke and even though they are a long shot relative to the others they still have a shot
Commanche is not happening and not really upset about it.. He’s a softy and he needs to get a lot stronger
Ted Kapita maybe but heard he’s all Florida. Most of the guys below the Ivan Rabb elite level are going to be scared away by Govan tbh I’m talking about kids like Skal Chance etc Even though those guys are more PF than Centers..
Not sure what happened with Noah but read comments from a Duke insider who said he doubts they seriously pursue. He said they would have to miss on their top guys 2015-2016 before he thought they would go hard for him (as some here have speculated). Also said he was a good kid but a “fish in the barrel recruit” for a school like Duke and was ho hum about him. Without naming names this particular guy is very in tune with Duke and their recruiting
It hurts but tbh Marcus is a PF he’s not a SF not at 273...
KD camp is over and no word on Ray Smith visiting so questionable if that happened...
