6'9" PF from St. James School in St. James, MD, which is right outside of Hagerstown I believe. Listing Georgetown, UMass, Maryland, Xavier, Villanova, Temple, and VCU among others but word on the street is that Georgetown and Xavier are pushing harder than the others and the Hoyas are trying to get him on campus in the near future for an unofficial visit. #67 in 2014 class according to Scout, unranked by Rivals and ESPN. Described as an athletic four that is an excellent shotblocker and overal defender. Can shoot the mid-range jumper, but is still a little raw offensively in the post. Saw him play last year. He's a re-class from 2013. Definitely an impact player defensively. Very long. He has a nice stroke for a big kid, but he's not coordinated enough to hang with college sized wings yet. Doesn't like to bang in the post on offense though and doesn't like contact.

Top Performer of the Afternoon: Obi Enechionyia (Team Takeover 2014) – At 6’8”, the athletic forward showed off both an inside and outside scoring package. He flashed major bounce around the rim with a few ferocious dunks along with swatting away countless attempts at his own basket. While his work in the paint alone would have made Enechionyia a very intriguing prospect, he was also able to step out and make jump shots past the college 3-point line. The combination of owning the paint and being able to draw big men away from the rim by spacing the floor make it easy to project Enechionyia at the high major level for his college future. He needs to continue refining his ball handling and overall skill package and frankly could end up playing on the wing if his skills improve quickly enough. Obi Enechionyia (Team Takeover 2014) – Enechionyia was somewhat vague stating that major programs from the Big East and ACC are those after him right now. He did specifically mention Maryland, Miami, and Georgetown but suggested that a bunch more from those two conferences are involved as well. www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0721/2012-peach-jam-report-day-iii-part-b/

Saw him today at the Team Takeover event out in Bowie and I'd offer him immediately.
High-level athlete who rebounds and shoots the college 3 with ease. Would be a great fit in Georgetown's system.

He's really good defensively and he has nice wing skills for a post player...the problem is that he's not really a post player at this point (offensively) and he's not skilled enough to be a wing player right now. He just needs to develop offensively and he'll be very, very good.

From what I saw today, I agree but being that he's a 2014 kid, I'd bet on him coming around a lot more by the time he gets to college. I was impressed, especially with his athleticism.

He is a 2014 reclass, however. I think the real question is which direction does he go in his development: wing or big?

Obi Enechionyia (Team Takeover 2014) – I was a huge fan of Enechionyia after seeing him at Peach Jam dominate with bounce around the rim and shooting skills from long range. The 6’8” forward showed me even more in Atlantic City by facilitating off the dribble and setting up hot teammates. A power forward now, he showed signs of being able to progress to the small forward down the road which would only enhance what is already a high major skill package. www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0801/live-in-ac-final-report/

terpsinsider.com/blog/2012/08/01/recap-of-the-takeover-aau-tournament/Obi Enechionyia - Enechionyia capped the month of July with excellent showings in both Atlantic City as well as Bowie to help Doug Martin’s U16 Team Takeover squad to a pair of championships. In first day action at The Takeover, Enechionyia was extremely active on the blocks, tipping loose balls, grabbing rebound and blocking shots. On the offensive end, Obi showed off his continually improving face up game, knocking down shots out to the three-point line. Enechionyia has all of the tools to be an elite face up four-man at the next level.

Haven't heard anything more on him & Georgetown, but had to resurrect this as Saint James and Georgetown are my alma maters. As far as I can remember, Saint James has never had any decent athletes who went on to play D1 college ball seriously (last guy I remember played garbage time at University of Albany). But now I'm really hoping some way this kid ends up at G'town.
