How seriously are we tracking this kid? Plays HS ball at Potomac High in Oxon Hill and hoops with Team Takeover (we need to just set up shop with them before Indiana gets any more traction).
Claims a Rutgers offer and interest from us, Mason, Miami, Umass, Maryland, Depaul and others. He says he wants to stay in the area.

IMHO, the best guard in the area. Should be a priority in 2014 and would be a perfect fit for our offense and I think if we push, he'll come.

This kid is a stud. IMO he is the best prospect in the Takeover organization along with Derrickson. If he was a WCAC kid instead of a of pg public he'd be ranked higher. He has to be a 2014 top priority. Silky smooth, can shoot it, pass, handle , and a high bball IQ. On a team with already solid pgs he seems to have the ball in his hand in the clutch. I want to see him in a Hoya Uniform. JT3 was there watching him all this weekend.

from what I read, he wants to stay local w/ hoyas and md as favs. Nova and IU strong though too. Peters in '13 and Wiley in '14 would be great.

www.nbebasketball.com/w3/2012-0801/live-in-ac-final-report/Dion Wiley (Team Takeover 2014) – Wiley was Takeover’s best player in the championship game victory over Expressions Elite. The 6’5” powerful wing made deep jump shots well past the 3-point line including three straight during a crucial second half run. He also rebounded, played physical defense, and shared the ball but it was Wiley’s stroke that jumped off the page in the win. The MVP of the 16U championship game caught up with NBE afterwards to discuss the main schools involved with his recruitment. He mentioned offers from Georgetown, Maryland, and Rutgers along with heavy interest from UMASS, Cincinnati, Miami, and Virginia Tech. As of now staying close to home is important for Wiley and for that reason he considered Georgetown and Maryland as his favorites right now. He did acknowledge that his priorities could shift in the next two years but for now location is a major factor.

terpsinsider.com/blog/2012/08/01/recap-of-the-takeover-aau-tournament/Dion Wiley - Believe it or not, Wiley actually comes off the bench for Team Takeover’s loaded U16 squad. However, once he checks into the game, Wiley’s a threat to score every time he touches the ball. Wiley’s bread and butter is his three-point shot which he knocks down with regularity. He was able to finish a nice four-point play on Saturday. He has a college-ready frame as well as a quick, compact release on his three-point shot. Wiley has shown off more of an ability to attack the basket recently and his defense continues to improve. Wiley has an extremely high ceiling and will likely challenge Roddy Peters as the top player in PG County public schools next season.

I'm thinking they can't lead for or at least get Wiley, Booth, both Harrisons and Peters unless they are going to have 4 point guards on a roster at any given time.

I know they think they are but I'm not convinced. Still, don't think 3 point guards on the roster is a good look either.

This weekend, he ran with the Maryland Ruff Riders and got the opportunity to show his potential to create plays with the ball in his hands. That’s not normally his calling card, but to his credit, he showed surprising creativity and abil
