Could Kentucky actually be outbid for a recruit??? Hard to fathom. FedEx is ran by a Unversity of Memphis alumni in Fred Smith and has many wealthy boosters. We will make sure Mr. Hamiltons foundation is properly funded Memphis has many wealthy boosters but apparently very few English professors.

I happen to know Fred Smith personally and, while I am sure he is a generous booster, to claim him as an alum is a bit of a stretch. He went to Yale.

Skal is coming to Memphis already with the Lawsons on board and Nick Marshall already committed and recruiting him. It's going to be hard to beat especially considering we are the only school he has visited and numerous times with that. It really is just a Memphis and UK battle and always has been since he blew up.

And after he does he will go on to the same fine career as William Bedford and Keith Lee, noted big man flops from Memphis...

Just go with your updates to the UK board.

He is a lock if and when the LOI is signed. Until then we will continue to monitor. There are myriad stories of "locks" who committed to other schools. Memphis sounds like it has a strong shot on this one, but we shall see what happens.

Just clarifying how Skal is a lock Like I said no one here thinks he is coming here and would be shocked if he did so if he is a lock to Memphis or Uk makes no difference to us. You are beginning to become a troller.

tigerj - a lock for who? I thought it was a two school battle as per your post. Battles and locks don't go well together in the world of logic.

Apparently his handler screwed up his transcripts and will have to home school him his senior year. So there will probably be some eligibility concerns with Skal.

Skal's enrolled in high school just can't play per Tennessee transfer rules. They are looking to appeal for him to play. He goes to a top flight private school now 10 minutes from Memphis and it has a strong academic background so Skal will not graduate early from Lassuane.

Ok just repeating what I heard on the Rivals boards from a UK fan. Apparently they're considering withdrawing him form schoola nd home schooling him if he can't play and creating their own travel team for him.
