Jordan may be a bad talent evaluator (K Brown likely the worst first pick ever), but even he isn't bad enough to let Anthony Davis get away if the Bobcats get the first pick this year.

If Patrick gets the offer, he takes it. The first job is always the toughest one to get. Once you're in the club, other positions open up, whether you're a current coach or a former one. Go for it Patrick!

Is he part of the strategy sessions? What? He's a full assistant coach, not a water boy! Ok well there are 6 assistant coaches, and thinking of it in Football terms he's like the special teams coach. I imagine each assistant has different roles. From what I understand he's the big man coach. I don't know if he is involved in other parts of the team. I don't know what his day to day responsibilities are or whether he draws up plays. But if his head coach says he's ready then I believe him. I want him to get and opportunity to be an NBA coach. I was just pointing out how it's possible being an assistant coach especially the type of assistant he is, could mean that his qualifications aren't as great as his 8 seasons as an assistant coach would indicate. Overall his experience is much better than plenty of other candidates.

Anyone who was at GU with Patrick will tell you that no one will work harder, prepare better or focus more on a goal than he will.
The most striking thing about going to school with Patrick was that he never big timed anyone and always kept his eye on the prize.
Those qualities will suit him well as he begins what I believe will be a fine career as an NBA head coach.

Van Gundy: Hey, Patrick, we're going to talk game strategy so would you mind stepping into the hall for a while? Maybe teach Daniel Orton to shoot or something?
Ewing: Sure thing Coach!

The rumor that MJ wants Sloan makes sense -- the Bobcats are taken about as seriously as lingerie football, and a solid, well-respected veteran coach with a good track record would help reverse that. That doesn't bode well for Patrick, but I have to wonder how many experienced coaches would want to work for Herr Jordan.
So, ladies and gentlemen, I am proud to introduce the new coach of the Charlotte Bobcats . . . Buzz Peterson.

astrological sign aside, I can see why Ewing would feel that way...
