basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1397602the 6-foot-9 power forward from Omaha (Neb.) Central isn't just weighing a boatload of college scholarship offers. Agau is deciding whether or not he'll finish off his high school career trying for a fourth state title at Central or if he'll move on to a place like Rockville (Md.) Montrose Christian or possibly Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep. Although he hasn't cut his list down quite as far as he would like to just yet, Agau is starting to narrow his focus a little bit. Georgetown is another program he holds in high regard along with the Huskers. Agau says that he's likely to visit them along with Louisville and West Virginia officially.

His honesty and insight are refreshing:
Agau is certainly intrigued by the idea of turning things around, but also knows that it will take more than one player to get things headed in the direction Husker fans want.
"It's definitely appealing," Agau said. "But it's not that easy for one player to just go and turn around the program. That's the Big Ten, they don't play, they are grown men. I can't just go there my freshman year and they'll be all great just because of me."

Imo, anytime a kid goes from relative obscurity to stardom to a hoops factory, ehh prep school, I think it could mean something. If he goes to Findlay, I would think JYD would help in his development, but not necessarily in his recruitment. Considering Hoyas past relationship with Montrose; Findlay may be the better option. Honestly, there may be others on the board that could give you more insight than me.

Nebraskans' reactions to the transfer news has been so bad that Agau has been going off on twitter about how he can't wait to leave the state. That can't be good for NU.

Might be a good thing for us/not so much for a developmental standpoint for him

As was revealed two days ago via a Premium Court posting linked in Visitors are Visiting Pt. 1, Class of 2013 forward/center Akoy Agau recently visited Georgetown. The 6'9" Nebraska native toured The Hilltop last Monday, his second visit. connecticut.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1402668

Old but.. blogs.courier-journal.com/recruiting/2012/09/11/akoy-agau-making-official-visit-to-louisville-this-week/It’ll be Agau’s first official visit. He has another scheduled to Georgetown for Oct. 12 for the Hoyas’ Midnight Madness. Georgetown has been No. 1 on Agau’s list for a while. Agau has already visited Georgetown twice unofficially, and a Hoyas assistant visited him on Sunday. “Georgetown, like I said this summer, is my top school currently and the school I like the most, and it’s probably still there,” he said. “I have a really good connection with the coaches.” He also likes Georgetown’s strong academic reputation. “I think Georgetown is a place that offers a little bit of both worlds,” he said. “It’s really good as a school, and it’s really successful as a basketball program

The reporter pretty much drags it out of him. I still think Georgetown is the favorite here.
I wonder if we'd take both Agau and Jonathan Williams III. Similar players, but versatile.

Evan Daniels @evandanielsfox
Akoy Agua has committed to Louisville, per a source. He is their 4th commitment for the 2013 class.

I don't know that we slow played Agau. I think he was about as sought after for us as they get. Really surprised he popped this suddenly.
