Calhoun "develops" NBA players assumes that players improved dramatically under his tutelage, that good high school players made it to the NBA in part because of him... I am not sure I am sold on Calhoun as an "improver" of players

the guys that are really good were already good prior to getting there. The Josh Boone's and Souleymane Wane's were marginal and never made a dent in the league.

There's a lot to criticize UConn over. But putting guys in the league and keeping them there is not one of them. I mean, Travis Knight stuck around the NBA for like 7 years.

development is the issue, not putting them there.

I do give credit to Calhoun for developing players; sure many of the ones who made it to the NBA were already good, but you also have to acknowledge that not everyone who was good in high chool makes it there.

www.omaha.com/article/20120609/PREPZONE/706079774/1001Here’s a message for friends of Omaha Central basketball player Akoy Agau. Call him before Friday. After that, it’s going to be hard to get through. A new NCAA rule allows college coaches beginning Friday to text, call or email uncommitted prospects who will be seniors. Previously, coaches had been limited to one call a month. “I’m going to cancel all my plans for June 15 and just sit by the phone and just wait for them all,” a jovial Agau said of the anticipated deluge. “It feels like June 15 has already come.” Agau’s Team Nebraska coach, Scott Hammer, was talking to coaches at Kansas last week. Georgetown has been among the most persistent suitors, along with Tennessee and Mississippi State. Nebraska is up there, too.

memphisroar.com/2012/06/agau-says-memphis-one-of-six-pursuing-hardest/Agau went into a bit more detail about his game, discussing his main strengths on the hardwood. “I’m the type of player that can do it all,” Agau said. “I can shoot free throws well, I can pass, I can play inside and out.” As for his chief weakness as a player, Agau remarked, “Definitely all those things that I’m good at, but I can still improve on. I need to get a go-to move inside.” Although he describes himself as a four man right now, Agau said that most schools are actually recruiting him to play small forward in college.

So well spoken. He'd fit into the Georgetown family nicely.

That interview was 2 days after visiting GTown. Doesn't look good when 2 days after visiting he almost forgets your school when asked about the teams that are coming on the hardest.......

Notice that he didn't mention WVU. Further evidence that it was before his east coast trip.
