@therecruitscoop
Memphis, Georgetown & Villanova are the latest to inquire about 2012 MCI (ME) center Tobe Okafor, who has requested his release from LMU.
From MCI in Maine.
ESPN has him at 6'11'', 225 lbs. Two-star, 54th-rated center in '12 class.
Rivals has him at 6'11", 230. Two-star.
A blurb at NERR prior to the season described him as:
A high level athlete with a ton of physical tools, Okakor has made dramatic improvements to his game already and figures to make an impact on both ends of the floor this season.

Is anyone else a little concerned about how badly the staff is seeking out other bigs to the extent they have? Suddenly they are in the market for combo forwards, juco transfers, 2 star centers, etc, etc. I like the fact that the staff is working to fill in the missing pieces, but to do all this with a limited scholarships tells me that they no longer believe lubick and Moses are the answer.

I think it’s more about having talented guys in the pipeline. None of the centers we’ve been on would leapfrog the other guys IMO(Excluding Noel) and forward is the deepest position on our roster right now...
