Update them on what? I don't think JT3 or any other coach is sending out emails to players family's about why their kid is riding the bench or that sort of thing. I'm guessing it's more the accessibility and the atmosphere. JT3 is definitely a family oriented guy and we're a family oriented program. For parents, that has generally been a big selling point. Unfortunately we were recruiting Nerlens Noel and not his mom...
Agree that the quote sounds promising and some people on rivals have theorized that Georgetown leads for Jonathan (or J3 as he is apparently known).

Thanks, yaboy. I agree that it sounds good for us.

Several sources have indicated Gtown leads but not by a lot.

I like that quote. Sounds good for us. I agree but I have a question. While the AD has gotten better at informing fans about what is going on, how are the families of the basketball players kept updated? Do they have a team email? Ideally the players are talking to their parents all the time, but you never know. I'd imagine its pretty good since many families have been mainstays at Hoya games. Well the men's and women's soccer teams send donors updates every week about what happened that week and their thoughts on the games.

I am guessing mom wants something a little more personal than that.

Southwind F Johnathan Williams III will announce choice Oct. 18 at his church, per his mom. Down to Georgetown, TN, Mizzou, Texas, Mich. St.

I know this may sound crazy....but I really want this kid. This would most certainly be the last commit for 2013 and if so, that means that Jabril and DSR would have to take the lion's share of the PG duties for 2014-15.

I hate when they give specific dates to look forward to.

Really want him too. Don't feel great about our chances after Reggie Cameron's commitment.
I do think that, even if J3 commits, if Kennedy Meeks wants to be a Hoya the staff will figure it out.

Looks like JTIII still wants him too:
"Georgetown head man John Thompson III was at Southwind today to see Johnathan Williams III, who announces Oct. 18."

I think Reggie and JW3 play different positions. I know Cameron is listed as a PF, but he's going to be doing most of his work from the perimeter. By contrast, JW3 has more of a "jeff Green" skill set and could play more point forward in our offense. Want both!!!

If Coach is out there today trying to lock this one down, it suggests to me there will be more schollies available than are currently apparent.

is JW3 like a Ryan Kelly? Is that a solid comparison?

is JW3 like a Ryan Kelly? Is that a solid comparison? Nah, He can handle the ball better, is more athletic. a better defender (probably), not nearly as good of a shooter though. Has more of a Lamar Odom skill set than Ryan Kelly but really needs to work on his shooting and overall physicality to reach his full potential. Also some have said he is a bit shorter than listed…

Parker's visit this weekend to MSU was cancelled but will be rescheduled. J3 will be there though.
