groin injury? Yikes. Glad to see he's lighting it up. Yep, he apparently played with it for the last couple months of the season, and never uttered a peep. Perhaps that makes his draft prospects better than most of us have anticipated. Hoping so, anyway.

I believe it was around the Rutgers game that he had the Groin Injury and never really recovered.

Part of the Georgetown secrecy division. If they just came out and actually said things, people wouldn't have to second guess everything.
Oh well.
I hope Hollis is drafted. Wish he had stayed in school but that's for selfish reasons.
Good luck Hollywood

Everybody wants the next Steve Novak for their team. (Disclaimer: I'm not comparing Hollis to Steve Novak, just commenting that everyone wants a lights out shooter from 3). If Hollis can continue to have a good showing from 3, I think some team is going to take a chance on him.

The Georgetown Secrecy Division wasn't founded to keep us guessing. It was founded to keep opposing teams guessing. It seemed that lots of effort went into guarding Hollis all season long which opened things up for the rest of the team. If other teams knew of the injuries, then that wouldn't have happened. It would be impossible to keep other teams off track if the fans knew about everything, like Hollis' injury.

Not entirely true. It came out during a post game press conference that Hollis was hurt. Just not exactly.
It something along the lines of JT3 saying that Hollis was hurt. He asked Jason, who was standing behind him, what it was. Jason said he didn't know. Maybe the Providence or Rutgers game?
I can't remember.

It was reported in multiple media outlets during the week in between the Rutgers and Pitt games. Hollis missed a few practices, which was also reported. The first, and hopefully only, adventure of mine searching the term "groin" on Hoyatalk.

Early Entry Breakdowns: Under the radar picksQUOTE:F Hollis Thompson (Georgetown): Thompson improved both his scoring (12.8) and rebounding (5.5) numbers as a junior, but it feels like he left Georgetown without realizing his ceiling in college. At 6-8, the Los Angeles native is capable of being a match-up problem on the wing, shooting 47.7% from the field and 43.9% from three in three seasons. Thompson didn’t take too many shots at attacking foes off the dribble in college, and if he can show in workouts that he’s capable of doing so at the pro level Thompson could rise up draft boards.Early Entry Breakdowns: The Five LosersQUOTE:Georgetown: The Hoyas are still going to be a good team in 2012-13. But with Jason Clark and Henry Sims graduating, John Thompson III really could have used Hollis Thompson as a leading option. But Thompson had the desire to go pro, leaving a young team led by rising sophomore Otto Porter. Thompson’s decision could be the difference between the Hoyas competing for a top four finish in the Big East and being a true Big East title contender with the likes of Louisville and Syracuse.

I'm not sure there's really a difference between competing for the top 4 and competing for the #1 spot. Last year there was a bit, but most years the race is a lot closer than that.

I'm not sure there's really a difference between competing for the top 4 and competing for the #1 spot. Last year there was a bit, but most years the race is a lot closer than that. I didn't get past Intermediate Sports Pablum II at Georgetown, but in normal years I would think the teams who finish in slots #5 through #9 could be described as having competed for a top 4 finish in the Big East without necessarily having competed for the league title. Last year this wasn't the case (I don't remember how late Lousville was eliminated from a double-bye bid) as there was seemingly a huge dropoff in conference results after the top 7, which normally isn't the case. Also worth noting that for the second year in a row, a team that finished 6+ games back of the conference champion reached the NCAA Final Four, so I'm strictly talking about competing for the BE regular season title, not making any assessment's about independent quality.

@adamzagoria
Former Georgetown forward Hollis Thompson has workouts beginning Wednesday with Miami, Boston and OKC and then the following week with Cleveland, Golden State and Chicago before he heads into the Chicago Combine (June 6-9). After the Combine, he has Toronto, Washington, Indiana, Atlanta and Detroit, his agent Seth Cohen told @snytv.

That is a very good sign for his draft prospects since only the top players get that invitation. Does anyone here know if Henry will be attending Chicago combine, or any leaks as to how his pre-draft workouts are shaping up? Jason?
