I believe the last set of objections were about the percentage of glass vs brick on the exterior of the building. Absolutely ridiculous for a building that cannot be seen from anywhere outside of campus. Remember when that was the problem with the Apple store so Apple submitted an even more modern design that was basically all glass, then the OGB rejected it so Apple just resubmitted basically the original design and the OGB accepted it. Man that was great. These people just like having power, not "protecting" anything.

If anyone on here wins the mega millions tonight, you need to donate some of it to the new ATF. I will

Wouldnt the better thing to do would be to buy all the houses you can in Georgetown to push out the neighbors who hate us? Youd have plenty left over to give to the ATF. (or i suppose just throw some bribes around.)

Thought athletes couldn't receive special housing not available to all students (or are they trying to claim regular students will be able to live there too...)

When Cal did this at Memphis, non-athletes could live there, but the boarding fee for that dorm was like $40k a semester or something ridiculous. That makes it legal. See, Cal doesn't cheat.

So they upped the cost of attendance? Did they up the player's scholarships also? On the other hand I dont really care because I wouldnt want gtown players to be treated like this; as better or different than all the other students (and especially the other athletes who are just as if not more successful, like the sailing team, but dont get this kind of special treatment).

Yes, I assume the players' scholarships still cover full room and board as well as tuition. But basically, they don't advertise it, and they make it cost prohibitive for a non-basketball player to live there. But technically they can.

The ANC voted to support the ATF last night (with extended whining about the lack of housing on top of the building). Next stop is OGB (again) on Thursday.
Mark your calendars for April 26. DC resident alumni and fans should send letters to the Zoning Commission in support of the new facility.

Does anyone know if there are pictures of our proposals so we can see what they are actually complaining about structure wise.
