In no particular order.
1. Nate - work on 2-3 reliable pot-up moves, practice midrange jumper all day, think Tom Gugliotta or Tom Chambers. 2. Markel - need to learn how to make the game slower in your mind; tools are already there (shot, handle, athleticism, motor), think Deron Williams. 3. Otto - hit the weights big time (upper and lower body), work on post up moves and three point range, think Jeff Green. 4. Greg - hit the weights, work on handle and midrange game, think Kevin Durant or Scottie Pippen 5. Jabril - work on handle, midrange game, and first step explosiveness, think Dwayne Wade (duh). 6. Mikael - same as Nate, learn to value the ball, get mean, think Dajuan Blair 7. Tyler - get healthy, learn the offense, think Elton Brand (more offense) 8. Moses - same as Tyler, think Serge Ibaka (more defense) 9. Caprio - keep the guys honest in practice, think Tyler Crawford 10. JTIII - get Nerlens in a Hoya uniform, think Pat Riley (combine Lakers efficient offense with Knicks stingy, in your face defense) 11. Fans of the program - support the women's team, pay your HHC dues, and believe that we will win a men's basketball national championship very soon.

I agree with all of this. I would bump JTIII up to #1, Otto up to #2 with his focus on mid range game from FT line, elbow, and baseline, and move Greg up to #3 with focus on gaining weight/strength and shooting a thousand shots a day from 3. I'd also move Moses up to #4, as I think he's the sleeper next year. And if that's not enough, we need to find a solid backcourt between Markel, Jabril, and DSR. My opinion is that DSR is a vastly underrated recruit. This guy gets buckets and will step in from day 1 to be a contributor. He reminds me of Freeman but will be able to play SG and not SF given our size and length.

Bowen-work tirelessly to make III play you before garbage time. I think Aaron has a lot of potential. I'd love to see him earn more playing time.

Oh crap, I knew I missed someone. Not a knack on you, Aaron. Your mission if you chose to accept is to add lower body strength and to learn the offense (which is why I think he has not seen much game time). Proceed.

Don't really understand the whole 'think' comparisons at the end.
Capiro - White guy. Think Kevin Love or Derek Jeter. Tyler - Made a three when joking around in practice one time. Think Kobe Bryant.
Not to completely attack your post, I guess I understand the comparisons, they just are all a little extreme and in some cases somewhat unrelated.

Nate - #1, 2 & 3 for Nat should be to learn how to shoot a reliable FT and practice it from now til November.

I would say that Nate also needs to hit the weights. I'm not sure he looked any more defined or bigger than his Frosh season.

"Don't really understand the whole 'think' comparisons at the end."
That makes two of us because I don't understand your comment either.
If you are trying to imply that the comparisons are somewhat influenced by hmmmm... melanocytes, I direct you to the Caprio and Tyler Crawford pairing.
The comparisons are based on body type, style of play, and whimsy. I am trying to put the "fan" back into fantasy basketball. Would you have preferred a Lubick and a Carlos Boozer comparison? Yeah, didn't think so.
It's going to be a long off-season. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the next 6 months of speculation.

Caprio couldn't hold Tyler Crawford's jock.
Markel: Try to play better, think non-polio victim.

A question about Tyler and Moses. Does anybody know the rule for what qualifies for a red shirt season? I would think Moses would be an automatic red shirt since he never played a game. But what about Tyler? Is there a limit to # of medical red shirts you can have on a team in one year?

I think Robbie Hummel and Tim Abromaitis have used up the redshirt eligibility of all division I men's basketball teams for the next five years.

It was just comparing them to a high-level NBA player of the same position with a similar body type that none of them will ever get to.

If Hollis returns, he needs to work on growing his hair. Kid was lighting it up until he got that haircut.

Nate needs to go out west to his old former trainer for 2 weeks as soon as school is over and practice his agility, speed and quickness and improve his vertical lift and timing. Then come back and work on everything that has been mentioned before. I think there is real unrealized potential here BUT it will require a LOT OF WORK!. Will he be up to that or will he spend his summer in Nantucket?

It was just comparing them to a high-level NBA player of the same position with a similar body type that none of them will ever get to. The eternal problem with using player comps--either you choose realistic ones that are pretty useless bc no one can picture their games or you pick stars which actually provide a mental image most fans can use but you get killed bc everyone says "you can't compare them to a star, they'll never be that good" I don't mind the latter, personally but also realize it's about who they should be modeling their game / work outs on. That being said, I think some of the comps / workout models aren't thee greatest. Jabril needs to be spending a lot more time on his 3pt shot this off season. It makes sense to model his ability to drive and draw contact / finish shots after Wade but this offense needs it's PG / SG to shoot better than 24% from behind the arc. Honestly it needs it to shoot better than Clark did (32%).
