I know we talk about these guys all year, but some credit is due. I know that 60 of the teams are pretty easy, but these guys did pretty well overall and getting teams near the correct seed. It just goes to show you that tracking what they say during the year is an excellent indicator of where a team will end up.
2005 BRACKET STATS: Bracketography 64/65 teams selected 57/65 teams w/in 1 line 29 teams exactly
Lunardi: ESPN Bracketology 64 teams selected 58 teams w/in 1 line 38 teams exactly
Palm: CollegeRPI.com 64 teams selected 54 teams w/in 1 line 38 teams exactly
Mandel: CNNSI 65 teams selected 57 teams w/in 1 line 35 teams exactly
Mejia: CBS Sportsline 64 teams selected 58 teams w/in 1 line 37 teams exactly

Keep in mind there were only 3 at large teams that were not straight RPI picks and predicting who gets in was not all that hard.
There's also a big difference between those sources you cited and Digger Phelps or Dick Vitale.
