Does our seeding near the teams that play two games make us a top seed in our portion of the bracket? or is it more random for the NIT. just curious.

While NIT seeding falls under "ranking Creed albums" by nature, I would say considering Maryland, Georgetown, Indiana, and Notre Dame are all in those games that there's an informal seeding to get bubble teams to New York.

There's no real seeding of teams. They obviously want to spread around the best available teams for the best Final Four (GU vs. MD and Indiana vs. ND is probably their dream scenario), but there's no science to it.

It's about three things:
1) Selling seats 2) TV match-ups 3) Best 4 names for MSG
They want us and MD and ND and Ind. to win and will do their best to get the best match-ups.
However, it really all comes down to making $$$.

so you think GU, ND, MD and Indiana got on by name recognition? I'm not arguing that but aren't they also the best teams in the NIT. other than maybe DePaul?

I think it's just a predictable coincidence that GU, MD, ND and Indy are the top four names and also the best teams in the NIT.

If there's an equivalent to a #1 seed in the NIT, then it where you have to win one game to face a team that had to win two to get to the same spot. This is the boat GU, MD, ND, and UI are in, so it's pretty clear they're rooting for a semifinal of DC rivals and Indiana rivals. That is, unless they're really wacky and hoping for a BU, ORU, Vandy, and Holy Cross final 4.

Can Jeff shut down ike diogu if we play arizona st.? No one can shut down Ike. Luckily, they are the incarnation of the '02-'03 Hoyas, and the rest of the team isn't all that special.
