Hopefully the scouting report consists of... 1.STOP Kilpatrick(no open 3's), and Dixon 2-5. Repeat 1.

More Henry and Otto please - that is where we have the advantage rather than the guards. Hope Whittington's ankle is OK ... didn't look too bad but you never know.

Hopefully everyone else shows up b/c this will be a tough one again - our team ex Henry and Otto made a total of four baskets the whole game (less if you count uncontested layups). Guards driving into the paint a la Marquette and getting us on our heels has caused foul problems for him.
Let's keep the revenge tour rolling!

Today's game redux - we got beaten up and pushed around the first time, ain't gonna happen again. Our defense including the zone, is much stronger now, will make it hard for Cincy to score. With JC and HT finding their games, Hoyas will again taste sweet revenge.

Have to beat the "Solar Baby" Mick Cronin. Respect his teams and how hard they play--but Hoyas are due in this matchup.

Limit turnovers. Limit turnovers. LIMIT TURNOVERS. Hoyas turned it over almost 3 out of every ten possessions against Cincinnati last time (28.7%), basically turning it over 10% more than they normally do. They had 17 turnovers (Hoyas average 13/game) in a 4 point game.

Cincy had no business beating us last game. Show clips of Kilpatrick raining threes on us to the guys today and that should do it.

Again the key is in the middle on offense. With Henry and Otto presenting a threat inside it should open up the outside shots. Of course, Jason will have to return to form and Hollis will have to be involved. GW is critical on defense, as will be other perimeter defenders. Cincinnati has better shooters than does Pitt and a big strong inside game as well.

This is the game on the Revenge Tour '12 that I want to win the most. Teams like WVU and Cincy have own us over the last 3-4 yrs. They seem to play with a toughness that in the past we couldn't match. I believe that this is the toughest team we have had since Jeff took his talents to OK City. We need to get over the hump. We can beat the so-called super talented teams like SU and UCONN. We need to prove that we can win a drag you through the dirt game............................

Bearcats jump passing lanes at top of key. Lazy passes are what has caused a lot of the turnovers. They will press you into the corners and sidelines. Gates can be easily frustrated. Jackson will crash boards a lot from top of the key. Parker likes to slash to middle of the paint. Dixon and Kilpatrick will shoot it from anywhere. Kilpatrick has more complete game.
Otto shooting at elbow or stripe will cause the problems. They want to pack in the middle to stop backdoor passes. They will try hard to stop Henry from getting the ball. But he can't settle for 17 foot shots. They have got to make Cincy work in the paint.
They also have new unis they think will help keep them fresher!

Depends which team we get -- the one that beat Marquette or the unwatchable mess that lost to South Florida.
