Was there actually an increase in the per game cost?

I didn't renew yet.
I probably will if somebody calls to bug me about it. I'm sure they do something really special for your 10 year anniversary.

Roll call 1. season ticket holders from last year who didn't renew yet 2. people who didn't like the price increase 1. count me out - I renewed already using the interest free 12-payment plan. 2. You're seriously going to complain about a $1 per game price increase? Unless I missed something, last year seats in our section cost $32 as part of a season ticket; this year it says they cost $33. www.guhoyas.com/tickets/newseasontickets.html

Forgive me if I'm wrong but as a season ticket holder with two tickets, I would generally have to put down like $100 or $200 by June or July right? Knowing about this change a little sooner than last month would have be super awesome. To be honest, I think I'm still paying off last season's donation/ticket sales in monthly installments. I'm not super exited to start next season's already. The good news is that my seats are really good so somebody will get a really nice upgrade.

There were no price increases for 2012-13. In fact, my per-game price went down from $33/game to $30/game, if I read the ticket map properly: www.guhoyas.com/tickets/renewseasontixs.html(That applies to 104, 107, 115, 118, 119) The last time GU raised per-game ticket prices by anything remotely significant was after the 2007-08 season.

FLHoya included the part I forgot: they peg the total cost for 17 games, then adjust downwards if they play less.
From the Ticket Office:

As someone with a mountain of law school debt, inconsistent work due to a horrific legal market, and who is just this year no longer eligible for young alum seats, count me as someone who is not pleased at how early this "deadline" is.

called the tix office, message said that if you want to renew your season tickets, leave a message and we will return your call, we will not releasr your tickets. Could it be that many season ticket holders were late in their renewals.

It obviously won't please you or further your anti-ticket office campaign, but word is that the general non-HoyaTalk season ticket holding public actually is happy with the options offered. There are always people who miss the deadline and at least in the past that has been accomodated.

Dan, you should stick to your role as a moderator, because your stupidity as a mind-reader really shows. FYI when I talked to the tix office today, I picked up additional seats for our family and put us on the wait list for others around my current seats. I admit the tix office leaves a lot to be desired, but if one is patient you can get taken care of.

sky: Your prior posts in this thread read (to me at least) like thinly veiled attacks on the process and/or the ticket office. Apologies if I misread your meaning, but that's how they came off to me. And no, I was not posting as a moderator. When I do that, it's either preceded by a "MOD NOTE:" or something similar or it's in black. The only thing close to a moderator-role post I made here was to transmit information directly from the ticket office to clear up your claim that there was a price increase so that others would have the facts.
I agree completely with the last sentence of your most recent post and would only point out that I think the ticket office does surprisingly well with the support they are given for infrastructure improvements.

The home schedule should be better than last year if we get the standard home and away flip of the BE schedule. That means we have the last regular season meetings with PITT and the CUSE at the booth along with a homie with Louisville, The OOC schedule is rumored to include some big name teams that wear blue, we'll see if they develop. It should be Otto's year.
Some people on this board are such homers, since I will be retiring from gainful employment this weekend, I look forward to messing with the homers.

I renewed because I am a glutton for punishment. I gave up being upset about price increases years ago, because my seats have more than doubled in price (along with the donation) since I first got them a decade ago.
My nit is that as of this year Ticketmaster/Georgetown won't take Amex anymore. Can't blame them since Amex charges more than Visa/Mastercard, but it's kind of cheap for those of us who like to collect (and use!) the points for big purchases.

Would you agree that the quality of the product has more than doubled in the past decade? ;D

Ha. Yes I most definitely would. But the early exits from the NCAAs and the dwindling marquee home games of late are getting old.

Has anyone else not been charged for months on their installment plans? I emailed Steve and Julia but I'm not holding my breath on a reply.
