Won by 12 and Jason Clark was bad. Take that--he's due to play well. Hollis too, who knows when Nate will throw in a 9-8 game, Jabril will get a quick 6 or 7 pts...this team is pretty damn awesome! Hollis is usually good in Garden too--so expect him to bounce back. He did hit those FT's (not a gimme with this year's team) that basically ended the game-once Hoyas got up--never gave it back. Nate played well against Cincinnati--so hope he repeats that--but man was he disengaged today.

Pitt tried to pull their usual crap by playing "physical," aka constantly fouling. I expect to see the same thing tomorrow in the Cinci game. Very pleased to see the guys adjust and fight back. Today will be good preparation for tomorrow. Need to keep playing aggressively and keep up the defensive intensity.

Adiós, Pitt! End of the season! Jamie D., how do you like our offense (and defense) now?!

Not much else to say that hasn't already been said. Couldn't have beaten the living snot out of a more deserving team.
We're gonna need Jason to step up tomorrow, but great to see Otto and Greg fill the scoring void when we needed it.
Hope Nerlens was watching as this was the perfect game to show how much a player like him would be featured in our offense.

Nate played well against Cincinnati--so hope he repeats that--but man was he disengaged today. My point exactly, neither had a their usual impact upon today's game yet we still won handily. Nate was horrific today and while I can't blame the first 8 minutes entirely on him, later in the game he was too slow once the offense started moving. On that note, I'm happy the game got easier for us once we became much more active on offense, especially off the ball. That was my main gripe with our early ineptitude and a cause for concern. Major props to JTIII for the 6 minute TO in the first half where he lit a fire under the team.

Nothing like beating the living dog crap out of that annoying windbag Jamie Dixon. This Pitt team is awful and for all the media who said "They will win out....." and think everyone would just forget because nobody cares about Pitt--well you are right--nobody does care about Pitt but this team hasn't been a great defensive team for some time--they hold/grab and it's called in NCAA's--which is why Dixon's teams blow in NCAA's. This was a bad team when they beat Georgetown in January and it's a bad team now. Why people feared this team is beyond me-but how do you like seeing Mr. Tough Guy and Band of Crap go home to their dump and cry and whine? Glad there is one more year of these clowns in BE next year-and hope Hoyas get to send them off in a similar manner. Where's the applause icon when you need it? I was so ticked off after the first Pitt game, that the mere thought of a repeat performance almost made my head explode. Those clowns (plus the head clown, Mr. Dixon) got what's coming to them - I'm just sorry we didn't win by 20. And that's with a total of one (1) field goal combined from Jason and Hollis. Nice numbers for Henry today. Wow. Oh, and Otto clearly doesn't belong on the all freshman team. Let's continue this with part 2 of the revenge tour tomorrow.

Otto has arrived.
Greg is knocking on the door.
Sims was a beast. 20-13-5. What a stat line!
Clark has played two dreadful games in a row. He's due and we need him to be special the next three conference tournament games.
Uh, Hollis? Paging Hollis Thompson?

As has been mentioned... Jason and Hollis have a combined ONE field goal made between them today and we still thump them. Great to see Henry, Otto, and Whitt step up like that. Onward!

III making that switch to Whittington from Lubick essentially iced the game. Pitt goes on 6-0 run and Whittington drills 3 to put lead back at 5 and never got closer then that. Lubick's in--you don't get that 3pt shot off same look. Adjustments have to be made -especially in 1 and done scenario and he did the one that won the game. His timeout in First Half was good-but that half was awful--wasted 15 minutes letting them dictate tempo/pace and didn't make them play basketball. Have to make a bad team make shots--and while in 2nd Hoyas fouled (Trawick played like he downed 5 Hr Energy spiked with Jolt) they made them make shots--and while they had a nice percentage--take away the easy 3 hoops to begin half and they sucked--as expected.

Good job Frosh Otto and Greg! A couple of more performances like that and the rest of the Big East coaches should be drug tested to leave Otto off of the All Freshmen Team. But that's okay. Take it out on our opponents! Go Hoyas

Hollis and Jason will be better tomorrow just by stepping on the court. Hope that Greg was not hurt seriously at the end. TIme to give a little recognition to Markel for his hustle and focus after a rough start. Hoyas will need Nate to be more effective tomorrow. The kid always tries but he sure needs to gain some confidence to be able to contribute on offense.

Very satisfying win for sure. Beating Pitt soundly and ending their season feels so good. Now on to the second part of the revenge tour. I do not reserve as much dislike toward Cincy but I would love to see the same result. Nice breakout game by Otto, perhaps a pit of payback for that ridiculous all-freshman team. I bet Dixon would vote for him now . . . loser.
Anyway, I have said it all season, we go as far as Henry leads us. I do not beleive this team can lose if Henry plays well, nice all around game today and the result was fitting. I am sure jason is chomping at the but to get back on a roll offensively. No time like tomorrow to do it.

It's nice to have some more depth to get past Jason/Hollis' quiet game.
