Notre Dame actually has a chant "Here come the Irish!" Is there no one in South Bend equipped with a Completely Lame Detector?

Good game, though. 40-36 ND at the first TV timeout of the 2nd half. I hate to root for ND in anything, but c'mon, Irish!

CBS in DC just went away from the ND-MU game due to the politely labeled "comfortable Irish lead"
Tied for second place!

Louisville beats Rutgers 78-66 UNC Greensboro Lost to Furman 93-85 Howard lost to MD eastern shore 78-65 Savannah st beat S Carolina St 73-60 Broadnax has the tigers in 2nd place in the MEAC, not bad. NJIT beat Chicago St 73-64
In rankings news #12 Creighton and #13 UNLV both lost so we should be at least 12 in the polls on Monday. Could be 11th depending on tomorrow's Michigan St game they already lost an ugly game to Illinois 42-41 but that will be offset if they beat #22 Michigan.

Good to see the Big East is maintaining its master plan to keep Rutgers basketball down. 2nd best part of this whole situation (best part is always reading a Rutgers fan board) is that David Cox stepped in as coach when Rice went to the locker room. You'd have thought reading RU fans that Eli Carter was lucky to escape brain damage on the play that set Mike Rice off. A little juice going into The Big East Greatest Rivalry Ever Because John Marinatto Said So That's Why on Wednesday: both Mike Rice and Kevin Willard were ejected from their games this week.

I think they should have Bobby Gonzalez and Fred Hill waiting in the crowd, and if one of them get ejected, then one of these folks replace them.

Kudos to Mizzou fans for not storming the court. I really thought they were going to do it. It sounds like the players were telling them not to.

Meh doesn't really matter. Kansas win would have been better for RPI. For the polls it's arguably better that Mizzou won.

RPI means nothing. Selection committee barely uses it anymore.

RPI is very strongly correlated to selection and even seeding. That said, it doesnt matter for a team like us to pay attention to it. From this point forward, we clearly control our own destiny for selection and seeding.

Historically, that has been the case. But in the last few years, the committee is on record as saying that RPI metric has been deemphasized. The committee is more likely to consider the SoS component of the RPI when deciding between the bubble teams.

From this point forward, we clearly control our own destiny for selection and seeding. Correlation is not causality. Teams with high RPIs have won lots of games and generally against good teams. RPI is most used to classify our opponents -- 2-3 versus Top 25, 4-0 versus Top 50, etc. from the articles I've read.

I wanted KU to win because Mizzou is the conference traitor, kind of like their Syracuse.
Also, when they were showing highlights, I thought I heard them refer to "Gary Williams Court" as "the Sweat Deck." Can someone confirm that I heard correctly?
