Chris Jackson vs. Leterrial Green was one of the great one on one matchups in hs hoops history.

That is my home territory. I went to the 1988 South State semifinals at Jackson State. JT Jr and LSU's Dale Brown were there recruiting Chris Jackson who had still not committed.
Chris Jackson and Gulfport lost in overtime to Pascagoula which had a sold balanced team including future NBAer Antonio Harvey and guard Dale Brown who later played at Kentucky and had a good game in the legendary Duke-UK regional final won by the Laetner shot. Future Florida & NFL quarterback Shane Matthews played small forward for Goula.
The other semifinal was Jackson Murrah led by James Robinson against Moss Point and Litterial Green. Everyone not from Pascagoula was disappointed that Gulfport lost because the crowd wanted the Chris Jackson vs. James Robinson showdown in the final.
Amazing that the guard play was so good in South Mississippi that year that a guy who ended up playing for Pitino at Kentucky was completely overshadowed.

"Tiger Legacy talks visit" missouri.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1333068The link above is for members only, so I will give you a quick rundown. Obviously it is a Mizzou article so there is a lot of discussion about the Tigers and his interactions with the school/bball coaches. Devin has been on campus with his Dad a handful of times over the past couple of years for Homecoming and the past two MU/KU games. Said his dad isn't pushing him one way or the other, just wants him to go to the best place for him. Said that right now he doesn't have an offer from Missouri, but that they, Michigan, and Miss State are showing the most interest. However other schools like Georgetown and Florida are showing interest as well. From the way it sounds, his recruitment is just starting to pick up. He actually lived in Michigan up until this past year and went to some Michigan camps growing up, which explains why they are in on him right now. Of course he's living in Mississippi now and his father has the Mizzou connection so that explains why those schools are also showing a lot of interest right now. My guess is that he's going to start blowing up this summer and be on a lot of teams radars. The fact that Georgetown has shown interest early is a plus.

Saw that Beilein and a Michigan assistant flew down to Mississippi to watch Booker's playoff game Tuesday. Moss Point lost to defending 5A state champs Wayne County so Booker's season is finished.

Not too sure although the Aug 18th tweet is well after Kirby left. Booker’s originally from Michigan so they will be tough to beat..
