Sanchez is #12 comes in around the 24min mark - not much there though. I thought this was a kid out of high school. This guy is listed as 23 years old on video introduction. Is that true? he would be coming to Georgetown at the age of 24 yrs.

Bolden is already signed sealed and delivered plus this guy would be a junior.. when Bolden is a frosh. It's true, and I don't think we're going to pull a scholarship from him before he sets foot on campus. I just wonder how both parties feel about it. Not sure a kid would want to walk into a situation where there's very little chance he's going to play. But hey, maybe I'm wrong and he'll put it together if he comes here.

There's a variety of reasons we may need a big man -- and some are less pleasant than others. Bolden has not played well, neither has Nate, and Tyler still hasn't been cleared to play. There could be more info on one of them or just a general playing the odds that we're going to need a big man.

I obviously haven't seen him play....but I like everything about it if it means that he replaces an exisiting 2012 recruit not named DSR. Sanchez would fit in very nicely with Otto and Whitt with his length and athleticism and from what we hear he can really crash the boards and help anchor the zone. At 23 years old and physically mature, I see him getting minutes from the get go.

Thsi does seem to send a message to Bolden and Nate. Unfortunately, it could also be a sad sign about III's confidence in Tyler playing basketball again. I hope that is not the case and III is just filling out the class with a guy who can come in and compete for minutes day 1. There is something to be said for adding maturity to a roster.

You guys are speculating waaaay too much about this..Since signing Bolden the staff has been consistent in it’s pursuit of other bigs.. See Upshaw, and Tony Parker. If these guys think a kid can play and can contribute they’re going to bring him in. Especially one that seems as versatile as Sanchez. He looks like he could play the 3 or 4 and fits the model of what we have seen from our recruiting as of late.
3 has never seemed like a coach that sends messages to players. If we land this kid he will not be guaranteed playing time, the best 5 on game day will get the minutes. FWIW That’s how it should be..

NC, This kid is a 4/3, Tyler is a 5 only, imo. Shouldn't threaten him or Moses. And if they are then they need to stay on the bench.

My only read on this is that JTIII sees huge value in athletic, long, 6'8" players, especially in zone sets on defense and in full court press. This is a good thing. The scholarship situation will work itself out. It always does.
The best and most consistent part of our team this year is our 2/3 zone defense with Jabril, Otto, and Greg, and Henry, and Jason. Devastating defensive lineup.
The only possible negative in this development is that perhaps JTIII does not feel confident landing Devonta Pollard.

Well, we probably don't have a great shot at Pollard - nor is there any guarantee that we'll get Sanchez. You keep throwing your line in the water, and hope to get a bite.

Bolden is already signed sealed and delivered When did Bolden sign his LOI? I know people keep mentioning this in the other threads, but I was under the impression that he's still "just" a verbal.
