EtomicB, how does Sanchez play? Slasher? Banger? Perimeter? Post? or do it all? No clue Zeke, I just saw a tweet from Zagoria... I found some info on him though... www.friarbasketball.net/2011/10/catching-up-with-orlando-sanchezs-coach.htmlJeff Brustad, Sanchez’s head coach at Monroe, noted, “He’s highly skilled and plays with a high motor. Orlando is 6’8, 215 lbs, and plays both the four and three positions. Defensively, he was in the top five in rebounding and blocks in the country, and he runs the floor very well and attacks the rim.” “Orlando is a great kid. Since arriving on campus last year, he quickly became one of the more popular kids on campus – not only with the student population, but with professors and administrators as well. This is a student-athlete that every program would want.” rhodyrams.8.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=1267"Orlando is a complete package-type player. He has good size, can run the floor, can rebound and play defense, and is a game-changing shot-blocker. He can also step out and shoot the three. Coach Brustad said that he expects big things from this big player, who played for the Dominican Republic 21-under team."

Maybe another Godwin Owinje. Although he doesn't sound like it. Would he have two or three years of eligibility remaining?

If its true that the Hoyas have offered this kid a schollie and the kid comes to Georgetown, that cannot be ggod news for Nate. Unlike a freshman 4 coming in next year, this kid would have college playing time experience and would only have 2 years elligibility left just like Nate. He sounds like a skinnier version of Otto. If he is legit player and comes to the Hill I could see a lineup next year with Starks and Whiittington at guards, Sanchez at the 3, Otto at the 4 and Hopkins/Adams/Ayegba at the 5.

In terms of size, him and Otto seem fairly similar. Maybe Sanchez has a bit more bulk. In any case they'd probably be somewhat interchangeable at the 3 and 4.

Guy looks a lot thicker than Otto in pictures. He looks like he's thick enough to be a Big East Power Forward from the pictures I can find. www.monroecollegemustangs.com/roster.aspx?rp_id=169&path=mbball

He's only listed at 200 pounds though. GUHoyas lists Otto at 205 pounds, which may be generous, but still...

Then again, if he made the Dominican Nat'l team as a PF, that means he beat out Eloy Vargas, who is not a bad PF, and one of Calipari's own players. This is all conjecture of course based on my knowledge of Sanchez, who I've only heard of for roughly 45 minutes ;D

I read this differently. I can't imagine we offer this guy and take Bolden as well.

I read this differently. I can't imagine we offer this guy and take Bolden as well. This. Bolden is already signed sealed and delivered plus this guy would be a junior.. when Bolden is a frosh. Joe Boncore (From the artist formerly known as Moses Abraham fame) involved as well as the twerps : www.zagsblog.com/2011/12/27/maryland-in-mix-for-juco-pair/

Some clips from the FIBA tournament.... look for #12....2 hand baseline dunk and then later an athletic finish at the rim
