Did you see the op-ed piece in the A section of wp from Wesley Clark about how georgetown a top ten team is routinely put on D3 or later while the twerps who aren't even top 25 are on the front page.
I will look for an online link, but no luck so far. Personally hit the money on wpost terrible gtown coverage. -M

Apparently John Deosaran of Ashton (below Clark's letter) is unaware of what the common usage of "unanswered" is in sports parlance.

Saw that this morning, but I'm confident it's a different Wes Clark. There's a Wes Clark in Alexandria who is an Syracuse grad, however, which would make his complaint even funnier.

Feel like ive heard this a lot before - the post responds - they have more readers who are MD fans. They want to show content their readers want to see. Period end of story. I've kinda gotten over it, it is what it is.

This Wes Clark, Class of '72, is a lawyer at the DEA. Yes, I am a master stalker.

A Georgetown lawyer? That's so weird... I hear there was an entire student section full of future Hoya lawyers. Actually...heard it three or four times. WORST. COMMENTATORS.

In response to the "the Post won't publish articles on the Hoyas and when they do they bury them because there are more Terps readers out there than Hoya readers" argument, perhaps one way to start to change that is for people who post here to post in the comments sections of the articles they DO publish. The more posts the better, and not just negative ones. We've shown our ability to swamp internet polls, why not increase attention to the articles?
Do this for the Post, ESPN, CBS, wherever. With circulation down, more news outlets are looking for website hits. It's certainly worth a shot.

I do it from time to time and each time it makes me question humanity. The things people will say anonymously are shocking.

That said, what is to prevent any of us from posting rational, positive comments about articles covering the Hoyas?

Just a guess, but I'd say it's the complete absence of any semblance of rational thought as pertains to anything related to Georgetown basketball.
;D
As an advance note for the game this afternoon: TODAY'S REFEREES SUCK!!! THAT WAS A HORRIBLE CALL!!!

Yes, the moderators lend some semblance of civility. I have had to complain about some of the comments written to the Post and once in a while they took them down, because of their abuse.

I would hope the Post got any anti-GU bias out of their system during JTII's last couple of years, when the coverage was buried somewhere between harness racing and Marmaduke.
