6'10" Freshmen listing Georgetown, UCONN, Kentucky, Florida, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Baylor Can dribble well for a big man and knock down the 3. Long ways away from college, but definitely one we want to keep track of.

A little worried when I see a 3 min clip of a 6'10" kid without 1 dunk. The kid can shoot and has a lot of skills but he is lacking athleticism. Maybe he will get a mean streak as he gets older..............

Maybe he will get a mean streak as he gets older.............. I wouldn't be too worried since he is so young (13-14yrs old) but already so big (reported 6'10" 220). Once his body catches back up to itself and he develops strength I think he will be fine. The thing that concerns me is that he is so big but doesn't seem to be working on his post game much. Its great he can shoot with range, but a 6'10" spot up shooter doesn't give you anything more than what you can get from a 6'3" spot up shooter. His form looks good, though I would rather see him get the ball up a little higher. As you can see in the video below, the further he goes out the lower he starts the ball which is a strength issue. In my opinion you get the form first and then develop range as you get stronger. At any rate, the kid looks like he is already very skilled but still has an extremely high ceiling. Its going to be interesting watching him develop over the next couple of years.

On campus this weekend, along with Wade Baldwin (2014 PG). Where'd you find this out? And who is Wade Baldwin? One of the day's better finds was 6-foot-3 guard Wade Baldwin. A sophomore at Somerville (N.J.) Immaculata, he blends skill, strength and athleticism into a well developed package on the offensive end. A good student, he already has offers from Northwestern (where he recently visited)and Iona. Virginia Tech, Georgetown, Syracuse, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Richmond are among those expressing interest. After the Grind Session, Baldwin stopped by Georgetown with 2015 big man Karl Towns and the duo will hit Seton Hall this weekend as well. pelicanpreps.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1352365

Lmao… wow Karl Towns is another example of why Coach Cal is the bestHow good is Towns? “He’s the best player in the Class of 2015,” said CBSSports.com recruiting analyst — and pomade expert — Jeff Borzello said. But does that mean that Towns is good enough to play on the Dominican National Team? I’ve seen Towns play. He’s going to be a very, very good basketball player. He’s not only a rebounder and a shot-blocker, but he’s able to step out and knock down a three. The problem? He’s 16. He’s not physically mature. He doesn’t have a well-developed low-post game. He’s not ready to compete against some of the world’s best players. So why is he on the team? Well, in my mind, it’s simple: John Calipari is coaching the Dominican team. Calipari is also recruiting Towns to play his collegiate ball at Kentucky. It would only make sense for him to put Towns on the team. A chance to legally and get to know him? Calipari would be a fool not to include him.” collegebasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/05/24/karl-towns-is-another-example-of-why-coach-cal-is-the-best/

Towns played the 4th quarter for the Dominican Republic in Team USA's first game leading up to the Olympics. He knocked down a 3 right off the bat in Anthony Davis's face, had a couple of rebounds, and made a nice no-look behind the back assist from the high post to the wing. I was very impressed how aggressive he was....not at all in awe by who was on the floor with him. There was a play on the break where he hammered/blocked Davis to prevent getting posterized and another time where he nearly body slammed Deron Williams while sealing him off to allow a teammate get to the rim. Towns still has a ways to go as far as catching up with his body and developing a better low post game....but for 15 years old he's already pretty d*mn good.
