I've never liked Draymond Green, but I couldn't put my finger on why he bugged me so much. Now I know.

You can't always control your legs when you go up? way too much follow through on that kick to be a random spasm. More importantly the upward motion of the leg started after the defender had stolen the ball.

Jersey wall down! The #NBAHoyas were taken down in preparation for their new home in the Thompson Center! #H4L Maybe they'll add those ten other NBA jerseys which never made it to the McDonough wall. Way back when, the jerseys were added as a means of honoring recent grads in the league--at the time, that was six: Duren, Shelton, Ewing, Martin, Jackson, and Wingate. There wasn't much interest at the time for the NBA players who played before John Thompson, and it was only by the time of the 2007 centennial that a lot of the former players were reunited with the program. The ten are Don Martin, Al Lujack, Buddy O'Grady, John Mahnken, Billy Hassett, Danny Kraus, Andy Kostecka, Ray Corley, Tom O'Keefe, and Bill Bolger. O'Keefe, who finished his career with the Baltimore Bullets, was the last surviving member when he died last year. Honoring them doesn't diminish those similarly honored, and would be well received by their survivors and extended family.

Actually sounds like a wonderful recognition ceremony for the grand opening celebration.

Just an interesting nugget fron Nylon Calculus, a great site for basketball analytics. They did a piece about the best closers in the NBA you can read it here: nyloncalculus.com/2016/05/30/the-nbas-best-closers/Check out who was at the top: Hollis at unbelievable 100%, making him clearly the best closer in the league. It's an extremely small sample, since the 76ers didn't have many wins to be "closed", hence the tiny bubble. But a nice stat for him nonetheless. Greg faired exceptionally well also despite a disappointing season overall. Contrast with Syracuse's golden boy in the bottom left corner. Now just hoping Hollis finds a way to stick in the league again next season.

Harrison Barnes turned down 64m for 4 years, and he's probably going to get more than that. Otto is younger and better. 16m a year should be his floor. David Falk is his agent, so I don't think he's going to sell low.

Now just hoping Hollis finds a way to stick in the league again next season. I hope Hollis's agent has this information. If JJ Redick has found himself a place where he can play large minutes and be offensively effective while being a defensive turnstile, Hollis should be able to find a home in the NBA with a decent contract. Hollis is a much better defender, much more athletic, longer and could continue to develop into the same type of shooter/scorer floor spacer as a JJ Redick. As a Clippers fan, I would love to see Hollis with the Clippers next season but doubt that will happen. Based on fit, Hollis could end up with the team that lost last night and signed him as a Free agent out of College in Oklahoma City. Side Bar: Anybody watch "The Jump" on ESPN last week when JJ Redick was a guest and see him throw shade at Jeff Green. When Redick was asked what the Clippers need next year to get over the hump he stated (I'm paraphrasing here) that they needed a 3/4 type player that can be effective. When reminded that Jeff Green was his teammate he continued and said (paraphrasing) "that Jeff wasn't good enough to help them get over the top and they need more of 3 point shooter." Definitely not the politically correct way to answer those questions. Someone needs to remind Redick that CJ McCollum ate him alive in their playoffs series and he's not even a below average defender and maybe the Clippers need to upgrade at his position.

Eh, JJ is a whole lot better than Hollis and this quirky stat about Hollis hitting a few late game shots is fun but not really significant. And JJ isn't wrong about Jeff Green either, I hate to say.
I agree Hollis could be a really nice fit in OKC who has been looking for a consistent 3 and d guy forever. They have Morrow who is a better shooter, and Roberson who is a better defender, but Hollis could do some of both and not be asked to create his own shot. Would be a smart and cheap signing IMO.
