Jabril Trawick Measurements: 6' 5.5” (in shoes), 217 pounds, 6' 8.5” wingspan, and an 8' 5.5” standing reach 2015-16 D-League Per 40 Pace Adjusted Stats: 19.5 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.7 turnovers, 2.4 steals, and 0.7 blocks on 56.1 2P%, 32.3 3P%, and 70.1 FT% in 20.1 minutes per game (54 appearances). A key bench player during the Sioux Falls Skyforce's NBA D-League championship run, Trawick put together a solid rookie campaign predicated on defensive toughness, aggressive straight line driving and occasional playmaking. The former Georgetown Hoya is a physical guard who's at his best when he gets going downhill as his strong 217-pound frame allows him to bounce off of defenders in traffic. He's a good not great leaper, a fairly average ball handler and a streaky shooter, but he wills his way to the rim in the half court and can make enough shots to keep the defense honest. Trawick isn't really going to rise up off the bounce and doesn't exactly have a calling card in the half court, although he's a smart cutter and can drive and kick or dish. A lot of Trawick's value comes on the defensive end as he's extremely physical and plays with a level of grit you don't often see among 6' 5” guards. Overall Trawick could use an offensive skill or two to hang his hat on, but the 23-year-old is certainly worth tracking because of his toughness and competitiveness. www.draftexpress.com/article/D-League-Elite-Mini-Camp-Scouting-Reports-5476/_______________ Looking pretty likely he gets a camp invite somewhere...

That would be outstanding. If 'bril could get a shot with a team that needs some attitude and effort on the defensive end, he might make a roster and get that shirt hanging ceremony!

I remember watching this game and pretty much laughing and crying simultaneously. I think Sleepy scored 70 of his 51 points in the fourth quarter. I believe the Lakers put Michael Cooper on him. There were few better defensive guards in the league at that time than Coop, but Coop couldn't slow Sleepy down at all.

His record still stands...29 points in the 4th quarter..most in any playoff quarter. ALso most points in a half..39. Not the most renowned of records, like Wilt Chamberlain 100 pts..but us old Hoya fans will take it!

He was unstoppable with most of his points coming off drives. Michael Cooper was "guarding" him and was named defensive player of the year for the Western Conference just a few days later.

If that doesn't sound like exactly a couple of the things the Knicks are missing, I'm not sure what does. Of course, they have a laundry list but that would be a nice start.

It's unlikely that a first off the bench D League guy gets a legit shot at the NBA but, regardless of how it pans out for Jabril, if he keeps that tenacity and that work ethic, there's nearly zero chance he's not successful at whatever he chooses if his first option doesn't materialize for him. He's one of the easiest guys to root for that I can recall and I have complete faith that he will end up doing great things either on or off of the court. Personally, I want to be able to buy NBA Jabril gear for my nephews. My fingers and all other cross-able body pars are crossed. I couldn't want him to be the exception to the rule more than I do.
