Pat Jr. and Jerome, great Hoyas, with some ties to Las Vegas. Of course, Jerome was coach of Finlay Prep in Las Vegas, and Pat played in the NBA summer league in Las Vegas one year. He and his wife were gracious enough to have a picture taken with the alumni club here, who were at the game watching Otto play.

I thought all Hoyas had ties to you or Vegas (if I read your posts correctly).

JYD is one of my all-time favorite players. He's even easier to cheer for off of the court. Well done, sir.

Thank you for the link SSHoya. I love seeing one of our own getting appreciated both for his measurables and for the little things that separate him from similar players as well. Two interesting quotes from that article: "Despite his slight frame, he was all over the glass, securing eight rebounds per game and 69.6 percent of rebounding chances, which ranks No. 3 in the playoffs among players with at least 10 chances per game." "When Porter was on the floor, Washington outscored opponents by a team-best 10.8 points per 100 possessions. When he was on the bench, opponents outscored the Wizards by a team-worst 7.6 points." Sounds just like sophomore Otto, no? I couldn't be happier for the guy. He's going to be fun to watch as he continues to improve. Keep it up Otto! Hoya Saxa!

Wow, Josh really struggled to come up with what he was best at on D!
They actually asked a few questions on Gtown in the video. Unfortunately, Josh just seems like he knows his mistakes but doesn't have it in him to fix them.
I think the best thing for him (and what will probably happen) is to go to the D league. He'll have to really earn it then to make the league, and finally won't take success for granted.

The workout was not open to the media, but reporters were able to see the last few cool-down minutes, which featured players taking jumpers. Whittington, who tore his ACL in 2013 and then was booted from the Hoyas for academic reasons, looked impressive in the small sample. While his form is a bit wonky — he’s more of a slinger than a pure shooter — the 6’8″ small forward smoothly drained five or six consecutive three-pointers. With triples now more valuable than ever, Whittington’s ability to hit long-range shots could be his ticket to the pros…even if he doesn’t hear his name on June 25. While some of these guys will probably go undrafted, that doesn’t mean their NBA dreams are over. When a team like the Nets needs players for the summer league or for filling traning camp spots, they’re more likely to reach out to someone they’re familiar with rather than a total question mark. brooklynnews.net/2015/06/day-2-of-nets-pre-draft-workouts-its-a-big-east-showcase/

Because if that's the case, then I find it really difficult to take this guy seriously. He sounds like a bright young man, too, but jeez--you only get so many chances before people stop buying the "finally learned I need to work hard" schtick.
