Props to Jeff. LBJ has always been a fan of Jeff's. I remember some years ago he said on tv "We call him uncle Jeff in my house"

People can certainly debate Jeff's career with regard to whether or not he's been the player he could have been. It's not really a debate that he's a good dude that went through a ton to get back to playing at remotely the level he did prior to his heart issue. He's a very easy guy for which to root. I can't stand the Cavs, the Warriors or the Rockets but I can root for Jeff, no problem.

Jeff has 16 points 7 rebs in three quarters. He and LeBron (20 points) are leading the Cavs in a tough game with the Celtics. what a good hoya. Omg. Bigger story? Jeff Green coming up big in a game 7 to help his team to the finals or this impossibly understated lichoya post? Love me some Jeff and love me some Lic. Gentlemen, both.

Bill Simmons, once a Boston homer d-bag, always a Boston homer d-bag.
What a fantastic performance by Jeff. And it couldn't have come at a better time.
I was telling my wife near the end of the game how much I admire what the Celtics have accomplished this year amidst so much adversity. Nevertheless, that didn't stop us from singing Na Na Hey Hey Goodbye as the end of the game approached.

Just really happy for Green. Happy for the Hoyas and the attention that is coming back to the program.

Jeff has been the most important Hoya to wear the blue and gray in the last 20 years.

Couldn't be happier for an old friend and great guy and Hoya...as the mom says to her little daughter on the trainer bike in TV ad,... "keep peddlin', keep peddlin'..."

Couldn't be happier for Jeff. He's been a bit of the victim of the analytics set blaming a player for their overpriced contract.
Jeff is versatile and a great teammate and that is valuable. That's why in the biggest game of the season, Lebron wanted him out there with Love on the shelf.

BOSTON — Inside the Cleveland Cavaliers’ locker room, players celebrated their victory in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference finals with whoops and applause. Someone turned on music, and even coaches and General Manager Koby Altman swayed and rapped along to the lyrics. Hidden in the corner of this rowdy space, Jeff Green sat in silence. He leaned forward and rested with his hands together almost as if he were praying. But Green never closed his eyes. After scoring 19 points and grabbing eight rebounds in the most important game of his career, Green wanted to savor the moment. “I’ve worked my [butt] off each day since January 9, 2012, to get back on this court and now compete for a championship,” Green told reporters during a contemplative interview session following the Cavaliers’ 87-79 series-clinching win over the Boston Celtics. www.washingtonpost.com/news/sports/wp/2018/05/28/after-health-scare-in-2012-jeff-green-savors-helping-cavaliers-advance-to-nba-finals/?utm_term=.2ffdb191f288

Jeff is shooting 25% from the field, 18% from 3pt range, and 5pts a game. And watching the games I would actually say he has played worse than that. Just not being assertive, missing wide open shots (although his inability to shoot a consistent 3 is really what I feel will shorten his oppty in the league).
I thought he played himself into a contract in BOS series, but so far, he looks like a player that some team (maybe cavs again) just have as an insurance piece.
