Good news for Otto. Pierce signing w/Clippers. He should get a ton of minutes this year.

Starting to hear more noise about the Mavericks being interested in Roy if they don't get Deandre Jordan. Probably could pick him up cheaply and try him out for a year. Roy definitely needs a new start somewhere.

Really? What "intangibles" does Oubre possess that Otto does not? And can we please stop with the "Otto isn't athletic" BS. When did that become a thing? (stating before the draft that "which ever team picks me will win championship), rare left handy, or maybe even his unique outlook. Those are actually not positive intangibles. Sounds like a space cadet and headcase already. Guys like that come and go from the NBA very quickly. Someone drafted so low shouldn't be saying or believing things like that because it usually indicates a guy with more bark than bite.

but reason why he was ranked that high coming out of high school isnt just based on basketball skills - it is also what i meant by intangibles - which is his marketability: a lot of scouts and some GMs have believed that he has some star qualities with his personal ego (stating before the draft that "which ever team picks me will win championship), rare left handy, or maybe even his unique outlook. Marketability? Wait, are you saying you like this pick not because of his basketball skills but because you think he will sell tickets? Good lord, if that's true (I mean if that's why they picked him -- not that Oubre is going to sell a lot of tickets -- he won't_, I couldn't walk faster away from this player. Let's look at your other intangibles: Personal Ego - Is that a good thing? "Rare" Lefty Handy - One, this is completely tangible. At this point, you need to look up the words in the dictionary. Two, it's not that rare. It's super obvious in Oubre's case, because he couldn't go right if there was a brick wall to his left. "Unique Outlook" - Well, it is intangible. I have no idea what you mean, but it's intangible.

Roy definitely needs a new start somewhere. If there is a franchise that would give Roy the push and the resources to improve his game, I think it would be Dallas. Seems like the training support guys get there is superb. And if Cuban signs him, he would be 100% in his corner. There are worse things in the world.

Glad for Greg. The Bucks will have a nice young team. He won't be stuck as the "savior" in NY. I like!

Good for Greg. He's taking a risk with less years, but hopefully he stays healthy and productive enough to cash in on the jump in salary cap in a couple years.

Good move for Greg to avoid the disaster in MSG and play for a young and up and coming team. One could imagine in two years he can opt out and the Bucks would be a team willing to max him out with the new cap as one of their own.

Just heard. Smart smart move by Greg. He will be in the playoffs next year and with Parker, Henson and The guy I won't attempt to spell his name lol. They have a solid front court.

The Knicks need to go through a massive rebuild, which will not happen as long as the benefactor of the practice facility at Lower Canada Community College is still on the roster. Not surprisingly, Phil Jackson's vaunted triangle offense and four rings haven't exactly been attractive to free agents; the triangle offense works much better when you have Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant on the court, and the Knicks don't have anyone close to that level of ability.
At least the Garden recognizes the need to rebuild, and is adjusting ticket prices accordingly. Oh, wait. . . .

Dunno why everyone is raggin on me about what others said about Oubre - I am not the GM who picked him, nor am I the scouts that ranked him that high and projected him to be a superstar. But if he does turn out to be someone who averages 25 pts + with those intangibles listed above, I could definitely see him sellin a lot of tickets and jerseys.

You realize that only three players averaged 25+ this year?
