Except those of us who can recognize talent better than Randy Wittman.

Except those of us who can recognize talent better than Randy Wittman. The one downside to Wizards playoff success? Wittman likely stays round to coach next year.

It's amazing to me that any writer with any real understanding of offense; any fan with any real understanding of offense understands that Wittman basically runs an offense that is outdated by 20 years -- he's a college level coach at best on the offensive side. He has good offensive talent and no idea how to use them and it's incredibly obvious to everyone except ownership.

Fire Wittman, hire Brooks, Durant comes to Wiz as free agent to play for Brooks. Problem solved.

I don't think Durant will want to come to the Wiz and ride the pine behind Otto.

He's a better coach, but everything that everyone complains about Wittman could be leveled at Brooks. His offense is a pale shadow of what it should be with Durant and Russ. And if Wittman is to be blamed for missing the fact that Otto and Pierce as the 3/4 combo should be the crunch time lineup, Brooks is similarly guilty of poor lineup choices throttling the offense (e.g., playing Perk well beyond his expiration date).

Just imagine what Brad Stevens could do with this crew.

No. ceballos was an offensive gunner and stat padder. Otto Pippen is the better comparison interms of skillset.

The type of offense they run works better with Pierce as the 4 because it keeps the floor spread. The thing that you see is that late running those 1/4 PnRs you get bogged down because you are trying to run the clock first and not score. That's why the Wiz are susceptible to losing big leads.

Not Hoya related per se but once again Curry makes me feel better about that loss once again.

Not Hoya related per se but once again Curry makes me feel better about that loss once again. Curry is ridiculous. I remember watching the friday game in 2008, when Curry went nuts on Gonzaga. Before the Gonzaga game - I was sitting near some UNC guys, and they told me "you guys better watch out on Sunday, that Curry kid is something special". It really is amazing that a guy who 95% of basketball fans had never heard of before that game against us is now pretty much the best basketball player in the world. I want to hate him - but he is so much fun to watch that I just can't maintain the anger from 2008.

I just remind myself we held him below his tournament average that year... Then I remember basketball is a team sport

I keep hearing myself scream at the TV "NO HANDLE! NO HANDLE! TAKE THE BALL OUT OF HIS HANDS!" and also wishing that we forced him to drive, went for the block or hard foul every time, and forced him to earn point-by-point from the line, instead of nailing those threes. Argh- PTSD on that one; it still stings.
