I would love for this to happen if it ends in Otto knocking Pierce out cold.

Roy will be much more productive in an offense that wants him to post up. His drop in field goal percentage is mostly due to taking a lot more mid-range shots.
In his best offensive season, 2011-12, 36% of his attempts were from within 3 feet and only 19% were from 10 feet and out.
This season, only 22% of his fg attempts were from within 3 feet and 38% were from 10 feet plus.
His average fg attempt was from 9 feet this season. In 2011-12, his average fg attempt was from 6 feet.

Also, even when he gets it, his field goal percentage at the rim has been on a downward trend. He's only making 55 percent of his shots within 3 feet or closer to the rim. For a guy who is 7'2, that just can't happen. He's never going to be a finisher like DeAndre Jordan, but he has to get better at that.

Watching the Memphis game...reminded just how fluid and graceful and athlete Jeff Green is. And this was even with a bad back.

Ran into DF on the elevator in my building today and asked him where Big Roy will be playing next season. He said Roy wasn't going anywhere and then asked me the following question. "If Indiana was going to pay you $15 million next year what would you do?" I said I'd take the money and then told him I was a big Hoyas fan. He said, "So am I."

Not sure this was posted, but it's linked in the front page... We need Hank to come in during the summer to give a NBA Hoya Alumni Talk to the team:
"This past weekend, the New York Times Magazine had a feature on the struggling Philadelphia 76ers, who at 18-63 are one of the worst clubs in the NBA for a second straight season. The article included a look at former Georgetown center Henry Sims (C'12), who grew from a project player at Georgetown to a NBA center whose salary approaches $1 million a year.
"If LeBron existed at one pole of the NBA, Henry lived at the other," writes Michael Sokolove. "At 6-foot-10, he plods up and down a basketball court. When he has to hurry back on defense, he lowers his head and pumps his arms. He is a dependable kind of player who puts himself in the right place at the right time."
Sims, who was once cut from an NBA team while boarding an airplane, knows what the commitment is all about.
"Pro ball’s a hard business, man, a real hard business," he said. "If you don’t know that, you shouldn’t be in it."

Beal: “Otto’s been terrific this whole year,” guard Bradley Beal said. “He’s terrific for us. He helps space the floor, he can shoot the ball, and he’s just smart. I mean he just knows how to play and make the right reads. You need a guy like him.”
Another one for the scrapbook to show recruits that GU prepares you for the next level.

Proud of the role Otto is playing in the team's first play-off series. He was definitely a factor off the bench tonight and really showed his potential. He's only going to get better, maybe even in this series. It was just a matter of time before he broke out, especially on defense. But tonight his offense kicked-in too. There's an old saying, "Cream rises to the top." That's Otto!

It's painful watching the Wizards run their (Wittman's) offense, just painful, but it's nice to see Otto getting his shot and playing big minutes during crunch-time. Notice that Rasual Butler, who is about 55 years old, got a DNP today, and Wittman had him ahead of Otto a goodly amount of the season.

You mean Wall at the top and everyone else around the three point line? That's great coaching!

Porter's first two playoff games averages: 15 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1 assist, 0.5 steals and 0.5 blocks and defense. Imagine if Wittman had figured out that Porter shoud have gotten more minutes throughout the regular season.

Looking at the play-by-play, until the last two minutes of the game when things were already wrapped up, DeRozan only made one shot when Otto was on the floor. Also, Toronto's biggest two runs of the game (at the beginning of the game, and to start the third quarter) were when Otto was on the bench.
