Would people on this board take this kid if we could somehow get him?

Isn't he already signed with GW?

Done to GW but he is an absolute steal for them. Would've taken him in a heartbeat. He'll dominate for them.

Absolutely agree, Deacon -- Savage has been unreal for Episcopal this year, having lost some weight and gained speed/control (and his jumper is improved). Had a five point play to turn the tide in win over Benedictine Saturday, and almost single-handedly brought them back against Paul VI before team just ran out of gas (had a one-handed jam over Patrick Holloway in the lane that was poster material, then steal lay-up on next play as part of comeback run). I think chose GW because he can really be the main cog in revitalized program (had offers from VCU and elsewhere). EHS at Bullis tourney against Good Counsel/4:45 today, then win or lose at 2:45 Saturday at Bullis if a Hoya/high school double-header to see him and his first team all-Met teammate/committed to Wake, Arnaud Adala-Moto, of interest . . .

What's surprising is that even after the way he played this past summer for Team Takeover, he still isn't rated by Rivals, or even been given a star rating.
No way in hell there are 150 high school players better than him.

He'll get some local love, which should lead to some national prominence, over the next month or so I bet: He's outplayed Arnaud across the board (pre-season first team All-Met again), and if EHS continues to win (which they should, esp. in a down IAC) he'll get much of the credit by anyone paying attention . . .

Yeah I just thought it was a shame to have not kept an eye on him. He is getting better everyday and is one of the best competitors ive ever seen. He's nowhere near where he can be on his jumper, but if he had that down consistently I find it hard to think they are more than 10 or so better than him at his position.

He's not a PG though, really, which is my only problem with him. Doesn't really fit what we're trying to do, but he could definitely go higher than GW.
In the Hart thread you said you'd take Savage over Hart...no chance on that one.

OK, I know this thread probably doesn't even really belong here, given that Savage is committed to GW, but just have to report that Kethan had another phenomenal game tonight -- leading Episcopal to an 84-72 win over a very solid WCAC Good Counsel team with 32 points (most points by an EHS player in at least 3 years). With All-Met/Team Takeover running mate Adala-Moto in foul trouble the whole game (fouling out with about 5 mins left and only 6 points scored), Savage was immense -- keyed a huge run late in third quarter with Arnaud and the other big man on the bench that turned a squeaker into about a 15 point lead in blink of an eye with steals/rebounds/threes and twisting lay-ups. This kid has really taken his game to another level from last year -- GW has an outright steal coming its way next Fall . . .
Saturday morning P.S. big story in Wash. Post this AM page 5/Sports recounting last night's game (tried to attach link but was unable). Kethan/EHS taking on Wesstown and 6'10" Danial Ochefu (Villanova commit) this afternoon at 2:45/Bullis tourney . .

Arnaud doesn't seem to be playing all that well this year...

In rather a stunner, Episcopal roars back from 12 down/about 3 minutes left in third quarter to beat Wesstown by 4 this afternoon/advance to Bullis tourney final -- Savage with 14 second half points (after only 1 in the first) to lead comeback (again, just all over the floor on both ends when the spark was needed). Of particular interest to this rather wiShut upl/what coulda been thread, I talked to a national recruiting analyst/blogger after the game, who expressed the strongly held view that Kethan is now the best gaurd in the area, specifically citing his superiority as he sees it to DeMatha's Robinson and Gonzaga's Britt -- heckuva bit of praise. Adala-Moto had 21 (16 first half) and played more within himself. Last note of interest down the road: Daniel Ochefu of Wesstown/Villanova commit is going to be a beast at both ends at 'Nova -- inexplicably, Wesstown coach didn't pound it to him down low and instead had him float a fair amount on the perimeter, otherwise he would've had 40 instead of about 16, and he was just a wall on defense under the basket . . .

Not buying Savage being better than Britt, Robinson (DeMatha), Robinson (Paul IV) or Hart.
Anyway, let's keep these posts to Hoya recruit game updates.

Robinson and Hart aren't point guards though. And, imo, he controls the game and competes, and is better than everyone around here except Britt. As the season progresses you'll soon see.
