Just an FYI--Jason only needs 4 points to reach the 1000 point mark for his career, so those that attend the game should ensure to give him a lot of love after his 4th point on Monday.

much better competition than Savannah State or UNCG.
can't overlook them, and don't think this team will.

I want JT III to give Bowen, Hopkins and Adams some time with some of the first 8 this week. You learn more about these guys seeing how they fit with the regulars than by playing them as a unit of back-ups. The loss of one player for any period of time is not when you want to find out what your subs can bring.

much better competition than Savannah State or UNCG. can't overlook them, and don't think this team will. I mean in theory, but they haven't won a game yet against Division 1 opponents. Losses to Arkansas Little Rock, Wisconsin Milwaukee, Eastern Michigan, and Ball State. Hopefully they beat Texas Southern tonight. We should win this game pretty easily. They've been terrible on both sides of the ball. 262nd in defense, 300th in defensive rebounding, 301st in eFG%, 319th in 3pt%, etc. They play Man to Man and don't force steals or block shots. The only thing they don't do poorly is they hold on to the ball well and they hit their free throws. Sadly this is our best remain OOC game besides memphis and Alabama: Howard, AU, NJIT are all terrible as were UNC greensboro, and Savannah State.

apparently, jt3 didn't think we'd be as good as we are when he arranged the schedule.

which is fine. As much as I think we're ahead of schedule right now, we're still very young and we have lots to work on. I hope our fan base doesn't get ahead of ourselves. The rest of the OOC minus Alabama and Memphis part 2 will give us lots of time to work out the kinks and improve our defense and press among other things.

Agreed HSB, this schedule is well thought out. JT3 needs to learn his best options against all types of playing styles and the guys need more court time playing together. I totally support this schedule, with Maui and Memphis and Bama, those are 4 opportunities to measure the team. It does not make any sense throwing these freshmen into the fire prior to the BE, they need confidence more than anything.

For those of us who do not get MASN, any idea where this game might be available? I checked ESPN 360 but that was a no go.

IUPUI clocks in at #167 on Pomeroy. Looks like decent offense and really poor defense. And kenpom charges actual money to find out more than that now, so that's all I've got.
Looking forward to Jason getting to 1000!

IUPUI's starting lineup features no one taller than 6-7. For that matter, their tallest player at 6'9 averages less than 10 minutes a game. Similar to what we saw in overtime against Memphis, expect to see a ton of feeding the post and working inside-out. As well as the timely re-post at which we are vastly improved. In a perfect world, this will be a great opportunity for Adams to bang and get quality minutes. Once the BE season begins, we will need him. Also expect to see A LOT of Jabril at the point. He will be needed against Releford later in the week and this will be his tune-up.

So I do hope to see Adams play and play well. I am just not sold on Sims as being fully onboard, especially against unmotivating competition. Adams will be needed and I hope to see something from him tonight - a big thank you to SNY (and the NBA lock-out).

While it's a good game to get Adams some run, for sure, I'd like to see Hank work on his baseline turn-and-burn, up-and-under, back-the-basket shimmy-shake, and other post moves that are going to be crucial for us as the season progresses. Oh, and boxing out. Yeah, he needs to do that, too.
