SFHoya99, myself and hopefully Cambridge are making our annual road trip and selected the Alabama game. Is anyone else going? And if anyone has ideas on places to visit in T-town, let us know!

If you like barbeque, Dreamland BBQ is right across the street from campus. The Tide are playing some youngsters, but their hoss is Jamychal Green. He will be a load; not a Thomas Robinson load, but he is very very good and may pose a greater threat from 15-feet out.

We'll actually be attending the game with the King of Alabama BBQ - Chris Lilly from Big Bob Gibson Bar-B-Que in Decatur, Ala. In other words, we'll be eating well on this road trip

I'd definitely be going if the game were on a Saturday, but as of right now, don't plan to attend.

Gibson's is better. I live 20 miles from Decatur. Trust.

Gibson's is better. I live 20 miles from Decatur. Trust. A "personal preference" thing as opposed to a "one is clearly better than the other" thing, imo. There was a Dreamland a mile from my middle/high school growing up, so I'm definitely a Dreamland partisan, but I can't say anything bad about Gibsons. Having grown up an Auburn fan, I would rather spend a day in the Museum of Vivisected Puppies than set foot in the Bear Bryant Museum, but I've been told it is worth checking out for those with an interest in sports. If this sounds like your cup of tea, call up Stillman College (they of the utterly useless website) and find out if the Choir is performing anywhere nearby while you're in town. They're not quite the 800 lb gorilla Mormon Tabernacle choir, but they're pretty damn special. The campus itself is quite picturesque, so take some time to stroll the grounds. Just stay away from Mallet, lest one of the Machine fratbros mistake you for an administrator and hit you with a Natty Light can.

Stillman is across the street. Not sure of the dimes on campus though. Most HBCU's have a plethora, but haven't heard anything positive on that front.

Anyone want to meet up with us before the game at a local watering hole? Can't wait for the trip.

I like it better than Dreamland. A little sweeter sauce
