Can someone provide a short summary of Rivera-Smith and Brandon Bolden and save me from 250 post threads? Thanks

Strengths: D'Vauntes is an old school guard. He is versatile and can play any perimeter position. He has a strong body and can pretty much get any where he wants on the court versus anyone in his age group. He "big bodies" his opponent to get them in the paint and score. Smith-Rivera is a good rebounder and passer. He has an excellent basketball IQ (he knows how to play). He is a solid shooter with range to 20 feet.
Weaknesses: D'Vauntes does not have the prototypical thin, long limbed basketball body that most scouts love to see. He is bigger and stronger, almost like a fullback or linebacker. This is an advantage for him as a younger player but as the other kids in his class get bigger and stronger the advantage will decrease. He is also not a top end athlete. He is a good basketball athlete but not a high flyer or someone with exceptional quickness.
Bottom Line: Despite his "physical limitations" Smith-Rivera is an excellent basketball player that has a full offensive package. He will definitely be an elite level recruit and college basketball player. The questions are more about his ability at the pro level. That is a few years down the road. He is skilled and talent enough to be a great college player and a possible pro...time will tell.

Bolden
Strengths: This young left hander is effective around the basket using both hands to finish plays. He is an excellent runner and jumper that finds ways to score in transition and showed some skill with his back to the basket. He is a very good offensive rebounder that is quick off his feet and hungry for the ball.
Weaknesses: He showed a good ability to block shots off the ball, but was susceptible to the shot fake while guarding his own man which led to fouls. He needs to gain strength and develop his body, but that should come through natural maturation.
Bottom Line: Bolden is a long, lean athlete that plays with a lot of energy.

Both of those wrap ups are old. DSR has trimmed down some and straight gets buckets. Bolden's weaknesses are more pronounced than described above. He plays lazily and doesn't have a high motor right now. This is from the people I've talked to who have seen him. The talent and skill are there, he just needs to bring it nightly. He does need to gain a few lbs too.
