The final five minutes of the Paradise Jam Championship were the best kind of found entertainment as you're killing time until a midnight tip off.
Norfolk State (yeah, it happened) came back from 16 down and was tied with Marquette with under two minutes to play and the ball. They botched a pick and roll, leading to a layup. Still had a chance to win it when they recovered another botched play and one of the bigs had a wide open three with a few seconds left. Clanked it.
That had everything to pass the 10 minutes of time I needed:
--Random major upset potential
--Cable access quality production values
--Announcers openly rooting for the underdog (or...saying "F it, they sent us to the Caribbean to cover this obscure tournament, we're treating it like the Final Four")
--The unmistakable BEEP-BEEP-BEEP of two teams trying to back their way into a victory.
Well, I guess it's 16 minutes of Monday Night RAW now.
