Both. Definitely down year for ND as they've won the league for the last several years and will not this year. But we had never beaten ND at ND before. So I think it was still unexpected. Obviously if it was going to happen this was the year, but still a very good win for the Hoyas definitely our best win of the season.

Women will host a BET quarter final a week from today against Syracuse. The hoyas finished second to Louisville as the Cardinals defeated Cinci 1-0 yesterday.
If we win we will face the winner of WV and (Seton hall/St. Johns). Hoyas lost 3-0 to WV this year. Women must win the game against Syracuse at least.

Big win for the Hoyas -- should mean serious at-large consideration, though a win at WVU on Friday would probably seal the deal.

Could not have scripted a more perfect ending with a Syracuse player showing the class we've come to expect from cuse getting a second yellow card for dissent where she cussed out the ref possibly spitting in his face and was ejected from the premises.

Women play WV in the Semifinals of the Big East Tournament tonight at 5:30pm. The game will be live on CBS College Sports. The women lost 3-1 to WV at home and the game is at WV. The women are in the NCAA tournament either way.
Also 5 Hoyas received post season accolades from the Big East. Ingrid Wells- BE Midfielder of the Year She was joined on the BE 1st team by Camille Trujillo and Kelly D'Ambrisi Samantha Baker and Daphne Corboz were named to the all BE third team.

Complete Joke that the women got snubbed. The issue was lack of quality wins. Only had 1 quality win. @nd. But we should have been in Over ND(only 2 quality wins and RPI only 1 spot higher than hoyas), Portland(Only 2 quality wins both in the first two games of the season and RPI 5 spots lower than Hoyas), and Washington St(Only 1 quality win as well and RPI 8 spots lower than the Hoyas).
Outrageous. Complete BLEEPING BLEEP!

Ridiculous. Beat ND at ND and get snubbed.

I can't believe Portland (my son's alma mater) got in. Their worst season in years, and everybody was expecting them to miss the tournament this year. It is ironic since the committee usually snubs the Pilots in the NCAA seedings; maybe this was a makeup call. I guess that 5-1 loss to WVU really hurt the Hoyas.
