Hoyas made Goodwin's 1st cut down list--he's down to 8 teams and they are on it--he is likely to decide in Spring but will be taking visits starting in September. A guy likely to stay in South, Hoyas being listed is impressive work and they've been making a lot of top 5's and cuts lately which is good. You can't win a recruiting battle unless you are in it. That step is completed, now time to step up and land a few guys who they've made cut with. Right now Georgetown is a finalist or made cut for these '12 prospects: Andre Drummond (as we know LONGSHOT to No Shot--but made cut) Kyle Anderson Archie Goodwin TJ Warren Tony Parker Devonta Pollard 3 of those guys are all due to Robert Kirby, including Goodwin. Hope they can make next cut for Goodwin who might be the most talented scorer in country. www.zagsblog.com/2011/08/12/archie-goodwin-trims-list/rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/recruiting/player-Archie-Goodwin-115429

Goodwin played most of the summer with an injured hand and he was still nasty.

Actually it was a broken wrist suffered at Pangos Camp in June. Guy has an unreal offensive arsenal.
The level of talent Georgetown is involved with/pursuing is amazing right now and type of players they should be investing time with. Most of these kids are lottery level talents who need some polish (like all players) but possess talent to be 1st Round picks if not high lottery guys if they work on their complete game/take to coaching or in some cases get proper coaching on/off the court.

Recruit Trashes 1/3 of Big 12 in One InterviewEXCERPT:Baylor – “Coach Scott Drew is a great guy. I love Coach Drew. They were one of the first schools that were recruiting me. But I didn’t like that they were an adidas team, but that’s not to say I wouldn’t go to Kansas because Kansas is a great team. I can look over the adidas thing – I own some adidas stuff. [Goodwin played recent summers with the Arkansas Wings Elite team, which is sponsored by Nike] I didn’t like their colors, either. I don’t like green and gold. That’s ugly …. When you got ugly colors like that, you gotta be Nike. …. Baylor has some ugly shoes, too.”One can never tell what motivates kids to choose a school.

well we didn't make the list for his 5 official visits. So I don't think he's coming.
