See, don't do this, RDF. I'll be dreaming of a '13 class of Jordan and Noel... If we get Noel and everyone stays, his frosh/soph year we really could be real title contenders.

We also should have taken a look at Kethan Savage, imo. He is definitely a good high major prospect.

bump for rysheed vs. harrison Sorry I didn't respond to the question earlier--didn't see it. ZERO SHOT with Harrison Twins. Talked to them throughout the BB Classic in Twin Cities this Summer and I'd say Kentucky has a HUGE lead for both of them and Andrew Harrison is a more polished player right now then Rysheed Jordan. Twins are very physical for guards--6'4-6'5 and have a nasty streak to them. Take on challenge and get after you on both ends of court. Love their game. By "nasty", they are type of players who find something to motivate them and then kill their opponent. One kid hit a jumper and talked mess to Aaron, and Andrew made sure Aaron got the ball next 2-3 times down court and he proceeded to score on 3pt shots and then stole the ball, took a charge, and blocked the kid in between makes. Andrew runs pick and roll brilliantly and makes great reads and both have great range/mid range games and finish with strength near rim--dunk on people and explode through contact. That being said--Rysheed Jordan is exactly the type of kid I want to see Hoyas get--6'4, speedy, needs to be developed and improve jumpshot (III's Staff have improved every player's jumper/offensive game as it's their #1 strength imo) and he'd bring a dimension they havent' had in decade--speed/playmaker on both ends of court. He's a big PG, but has speed/toughness about him too--just not as strong all around as Andrew Harrison--who plays like an NBA PG already. Hoyas were at Rysheed's game tonight too. ;D for those of us who view him as top PG prospect for them and a NEED. Really glad to hear they were at his game. Thanks for the info rdf. Need to put the full court on Jordan and Noel

Scholarship situation will play out and you take Jordan over Meeks--that kid is nowhere near being type you take at this point imo, and Hart is another tweener 2G/SF type which team has plenty of--especially if DSR is going to get minutes--he's not a natural PG-so he'll play some 2G--so you take the PG over both of those guys.

Rysheed had 31 pts, 8 boards, and 8 assists in his team's win today. Also mentioned that Georgetown is recruiting him on a list to Alex Kline--Hoyas, SJU, Maryland, etc......and he's a guy I'd LOVE to see a Hoya.

This kid is a pro. He is clutch, smart, great length, and a great rebounder for a PG. Imagine this, Jordan, Greg, Otto, Mikael, and Nerlens. Jabril off the bench, Tyler off the bench, Moses of the bench, maybe Tony Parker off the bench. Someone say HOYA PARANOIA.

Rysheed is now the most important recruit in the '13 class. It would be nice to have 2 guys that can break defenders down and get easy shots and fouls. JTIII has to put on the heat and make this happen. I don't think he would ever play with Nerlen but a team of Jabril, Greg, Otto, Hop, and Nerlens, with Rysheed, DSR, Kel, Tyler, Nate, and Moses coming off the bench. That would be the biggest and deepest team in the nation.........

A team of Jordan, Whitt, Porter, Hop, Moses, jabril, markel and others would be nasty in and of itself.
Fwiw, ennis was also at SUcks today.

Because Nerlens will be in all likelihood one and done.

Because Noel could be in the NBA by the time Jordan hits campus.

I've read on the board that he's still listing G'town but I can't find confirmation on any recruiting sites that the staff has officially offered the kid. If not what are they waiting for? A rhetorical question more/less

JTIII doesn't over recruit (offer more scholarships than he has)

. JTIII doesn't over recruit (offer more scholarships than he has) Actually, Otto, ALL coaches OFFER more schollies than they have because you never know who will take them and who won't. Let's say -- for example - we have 2 schollies open and we need a PG and a BIG. GU could easily offer 3-4 schollies to bigs and another 2-3 schollies to PGs. Then, you wait to see who takes them. As soon a big commits, you pull the offers to the other bigs - but keep the offers to the PGs until the first one commits. Perhaps you were thinking of another scenario. Let's say (using the previous example) it's much later in the recruiting season, GU has 2 commitments already - and has no "known" open schollies. Would we take another verbal commitment in that case? Well, that very thing happened when Scottie Reynolds opted out of OK St. (or wherever) and was looking for a new home. But JT3 already had committed his last open schollie (was it Chris Wright?). In that case, GU has not taken a commitment.. until and unless a player opts to leave/transfer on his own. OF course, there was the time when Pops got a commitment from Iverson with no known open schollies and somehow, Eric Micoud decided he wanted to experience life in the French Foreign Legion. Maybe he watched Casablanca the night before. At any rate, if you were thinking of the second scenario, you would be right re: JT3 -- at least, as far as I know.
