Not to settle on a consolation prize, but I thought last nights W was huge. Forget about the tourney. You don't want to go into the off season after dropping six straight.
We battled back from 11 down and that should give the guys some much needed momentum. Remember last years slide (really the whole season)? Bring on UCONN!
We have nothing to lose in this game.

Yeah. If we had lost to SHU and lost in the first round of the NIT, that would have been a really disheartening way to end the season.
Now this team is not a choking team, it's a resilient team. Now we broke our losing skid. Now Jeff Green has shown he can come up huge in big games, not only offensively, but with blocks and steals. Now JTIII has his first win in the BET.
NOW BRING ON UCONN!

I felt the same way immediately after the game. I was not even thinking about the tournament, I was just happy to see the Hoyas break the losing streak and get a fresh start. After last season's 9 game swoon I was worried Bowman, Cook and Owens would start giving up.

That was a huge win. Anyone who watched the ND game knows that it is not easy to win games in this league. It was great to break the losing streak, and a nice treat for all the NYC alums in the Garden. Let's make it happen tonight, and hear our names on Selection Sunday.

I thought it was huge as well. You can tell we are still learning the Princeton Offense. We are still mechanical with it. Jeff Green, man! He is simply amazing. I wouldn't count us out tonight. Something magical may happen.

I totally agree with all the above posts.
One other bonus: if we are going to beat UConn, we're going to need to hit a ton of 3's. Maybe Owens will look at last night's performance and pull the trigger on his open looks instead of being the invisible man on the court.

Finally, DJ, finally!! Doesn't he have the weirdest looking shot though? It is so effortless.

So many times during those 3's he was hitting last night, I was thinking "Oh God DJ Oh God, don't take it, don't take it, you're falling over sideways, don't take it, don't take it.... YES DJ!!!!!!!!" Simply awesome. Good for DJ. Now let's have him do it again tonight.

This may also be his first win in postseason tournament competition. The Ivy Leagues does not have a conference tourney, although he coached in "win or die" playoff games against Penn when he was HC. I don't believe he ever won an NCAA game there, but I am less sure about the NIT.

By the way, could Cook hit two at the end? I guess he just wanted to keep it interesting.

By the way, could Cook hit two at the end? I guess he just wanted to keep it interesting. That was my bad...right after Green tipped the pass to Cook, I jumped up and said: "Yes...Cook's automatic from the line! Game, set, match!" Of course, he bricks one....damn it, I'm sorry guys. I didn't even knock on wood to reverse the jinx. That could have come back to bite us.

This may also be his first win in postseason tournament competition. I believe you're right. Princeton lost to Texas in the NIT last year, they lost to Louisville three years ago, lost to UNC in the NCAA's four year's ago, and lost to Penn State in the NIT in JTIII's first year as the Princeton Head Coach.

We were over 50 percent from down town last night, and got some huge ones from Owens, and Bowman when we really needed them. Let's see more of that tonight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Way, great point on the offense--it's too mechanical right now and as III said "they are thinking and not playing". Too hesitant and when I talk to friends about seeing GU play "faster" it doesn't mean crazy out of control as much as decision making, cuts, and with more talent, I do expect to see more transition hoops and free flowing offense simply because we'll have talent and depth again.
Jeff Green is so fun to watch because he can dominate a game without having to score and he doesn't let his lack of scoring effect his game which is great to have in your best player and especially at a young age. That's leadership and sets a tone in teammates and future teammates. They know it's about winning, not scoring.

I was really happy to see that the set shot (DJ from 3) could be effective in something other than my pickup games. ;D
