I'm warming up to Domingo to go along with Noel. A big and a shooter. I'm warming up to anything so long as Noel is mentioned.

This is the kid we're going to really need. We need shooting, especially from outside. Domingo is a great fit for this team: a tall, long wing who can shoot, and on top of that, academics really do matter to him. We don't necessarily need the absolute cream of the crop (though Domingo may be that anyways. We just need to continue adding players to the model III created with the most recent recruiting class.

Agreed. I would say that getting a solid 2/3 who can drain the three is as important as anything we can do. Down the line I feel good about DSR, markel and jabril running point. Also feel comfortable with Hopkins, lubick and ayegba manning the 5......So long as we have studs with length at the 2, 3, and 4 who can do it all. Domingo fits the bill.

In today's update on Scout, Gershon/Snow/Daniels, they say Georgetown is in the lead for Domingo.

I love that news. Despite the fact that he may not be a pressing need, Domingo is my favorite player in '13. He would add some needed outside shooting ability, and fits our new long, athletic look.

I love it too! I'm torn because I think there is a need for a PG in 2013 but Domingo is my favorite 2013 player that we are actually in play for.

Updated video of this kid. Gotta agree with id...dude looks like a reggie miller clone, both in game and body type.

Definitely looks like Domingo has grown a bit. He has an awesome step-back jumper. It's rare that a GU recruit is in SF, so I'll definitely try to catch a game or two of his - especially if he's a HOYA!

question for the cali hoyas.
Are SoCal kids generally better prosects than NorCal kids? or is it a kid by kid thing.
Are Bay area kids regarded as better than LA kids? Who is generally the tougher kid?
I'm not a big fan of Cali kids, but I was jus asking.

If he becomes a hoya, ill be sure to catch some games at St Ignat. next season. I'm on board with those comparisons to reggie, i just hope he doesn't follow the same college path as reggie(ucla).
Maybe we can switch comparisons to a different reggie that played for the hoyas?

He filled out as well too. I like the Reggie comparison....form is similar and he has a high release.
Pollard, Whitt, Domingo would be nasty.

Good news! I really like Domingo. Looks like he embraces the Reggie Miller comparisons: twitter.com/#!/sdomingo31/status/192722781056667648 Domingo also wears #31.

Many LA kids are better shooters due to year-around black top playing and personally I think that helps with their toughness. As far as the notion that SoCal kids are soft, I generally don't agree but that isn't saying there aren't soft kids in SoCal (or any recruiting area). Bay area=NorCal and I don't know much about that area but SoCal typically has a decent number of high level prospects.

Norcal simply doesn't have a lot of prospects. There's been a lot more recently, but in the past, the numbers of SoCal kids v NorCal is a huge difference.
Not sure there's a rep b/w the two. Also, if we're talking Bay Area, it's not like someone in Oakland can't play ball year round, even ignoring that whole gym thing. It doesn't really get that cold, especially near the water.

There are so many more kids in SoCal plus the quality of the competition is much greater and more available. Lot of AAU action between Arizona, Vegas and SoCal with a large population base.
