Logan Battle, who is coming to the women's team in 2012, made second team All-Met.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
To GREG and TAYLOR! And to both coaching staffs for reeling them in!
FYI: Being named the DC Boys POY has a pretty remarkable track record for later success. And this marks the 4th POY to choose GU since 2000. And the THIRD DC POY that JT3 has reeled in over the last 5 years! WAY TO GO JT3!!
Metro DC Players of the Year since 2000
2011 Greg Whittington 2010 Quinn Cook 2009 Dante Taylor 2008 Jason Clark 2007 Austin Freeman 2006 Kevin Durant 2005 Dante Cunningham 2004 Rudy Gay 2003 Leinas Kleiza 2002 Jermaine Thomas 2001 Delonte West 2000 Mike Sweetney

We could do worse than signing up the all met player of the year every year. There are a lot of NBA guys on that list.

Amazing late pull in Greg...on the other hand I think a prep-year may be in order for Hopkins

Congrats to Greg. (Needs to start putting on some muscle).
No video interviews like last year?

If Hopkins is as good as they say he is blocking shots he does not need to prep. Plus at the high school level the kids do not throw the ball inside as they should. Hopkins has more potential than some of the other kids we have on this roster. There is no denying his athleticism. Amazing late pull in Greg...on the other hand I think a prep-year may be in order for Hopkins

Agreed. Hopkins probably has the most potential of any of the bigs on our roster. He just needs to tap it.

Hopkins needs to want it. He knows he can do it but he just doesnt try to enough. Eventually he will lose it too.
