Give me DSR and Parker and I could care less about Anderson.

That is because you have never seen him play? Kid is a winner! Give me DSR and Parker and I could care less about Anderson.

I've seen him play plenty. I like him but am not enamored with him as others seem to be.
Give me someone like DSR matched up with Markel in the backcourt and a big like Parker and I'm fine.

Parker should be priority number 1.....Anderson 2.......reevaluating Bolden is also a major issue.

What's the deal wit L.J. Rose? He is the top PG in 2012 and is listing us. I haven't seen a thread on him here yet.

I suspect that the quality of the 2011 recruits should help our future recruiting in general. Yes kids want playing time but they also want to come into a program that's established and has a chance to win prior to their arrival. I can see a point guard thinking Georgetown would be an excellent opportunity given our post presences and our new found athleticism at the wings. Success certainly can breed success. I think recruiting more or less may work the same way. Exposure comes from playing in the Big East and playing for a competitive Big East team both past and more so present .... and the latter is exactly what Georgetown has become with this recent crop of recruits. Let's keep the gravy train moving. This being said I never expected after the Johnson and Christmas losses we would be here today with this type of class and all the hope and enthusiasm that has come with today's 5th signing.

It could very well be at the end of the day that we will prefer Jabril and Otto vs. Ty and Rakeem. Time will tell. But many many kudos to staff for turning around a once dire situation.

Honestly, had we lost those two to non-conference teams, I'm not sure people would've been so dismayed. Sure it's never great to miss out on guys you lead for, but it's really not great to do that and lose them to your two biggest rivals.
That being said, great job of scrambling by the staff and pulling out an extremely exciting class. We have athleticism, we have guys that produce, and we have a lot of size. The thing you have to love about a kid like Porter is that instead of getting bored with bad competition, he went out and dominated it. I've seen our team come out flat against a BE cellar dweller too many times to not be excited about a kid who gets up to play anyone. Hopefully that mentality and Trawick's meanery rub off on Hopkins and get him to maximize his potential. That kid has been slept on by this board, for justified reasons, but if the switch flips for him, our class becomes absurdly good.

If our 2011 class is absurdly good, that must mean that two or more will be immediate starters? If not, it's not absurdly good.

If two or three of the freshmen are able to make significant contributions this year, to me that would be absurdly good, regardless of whether any of them start.
