A very tough job, gotta be a master recruiter just to get decent talent, then a heck of a coach to have the talent play at Big East level. Hopefully some other young guy with some drive and ability picks up that program.

I had read this in the NY Post the other day and I could not figure it out. From what I read this seemed to be a mutual decision. Interesting to see who they hire during the annual Final Four coaching interview period.

I hope Providence goes with an alum. I'm of course speaking of Doris Burke.

I'd love them to go with Doris Burke so I never have to hear her again.
They should go with Al Skinner though.

Saw Zagoria said Mike Hopkins was a candidate.
wonder how long he's willing to wait out Boeheim's retirement. (think it's going to be a while)

Firing Keno was a mistake. Any team that had Ray King logging minutes for them is clearly a tough job and he kept them competitive. Remember that they lost their best player who was a beast and he and Brooks would have won them at least another 5-6 games easily.

Too many off-court problems under his watch, plus there's some feeling up there that he's just not that good, especially when it comes to coaching defense.
He's really just a one-hit wonder - only had the one good year at Drake with his father's players. Agree that it seems to be mutual - he had a lot of years left on his deal, from what I understand.
Lavin = less patient Big East ADs?

Yeah i think the main problem with Davis was all the off court issues. If those hadn't gone down he'd probably still be around. Makes sense in that context.
