While I am all for filling in the 2011 class with one of the wings that seem to be on the radar, it seems like we are way thin on ballhandlers for next year, no? Especially if there is an injury. Does Trawick fill this role at all? Shouldn't we be using our last scholarship on a pure ballhandler who can ride the bench the entire season if the other guards do a good job but who is there in a pinch if we need him? Or at least a walk-on with those skills? I'm talking Dean Berry or something like that. Would hate for us to have a good team next year that turns into a bad team because we can't handle ball pressure.

I, for one, would be extremely pleased to get a backup point guard somehow someway.

I personally would take porter over anyone else in 2011. From what we hear, he's a matchup nightmare who can score, defend and grab some boards. God forbid wenhave another injury....trawick would be forced to take on some of the ball handling responsibilities.

This is pretty much the same discussion we've had before about who we're going after for 2012 and on. Seems like for '11 and '12, we're looking at 3 types of players:
PGs -- Nash, Christon Wings -- Whittington, Porter, Anderson, Graham Bigs -- Ochefu
We're only going to be able to take 2 of the 3, barring a roster shakeup and assuming you don't count Anderson as both a wing and a pg. Ochefu seems to be the "luxury" pick in terms of position. But we will not turn down a kid like that if he decides to commit to us, which will inevitably result in some handwringing about either being thin at PG or being small by having to play guys like Aaron or Trawick at the 3. But them's the breaks. All of these kids we're after have large positives about them, and getting 2 of them is going to be a coup.

I think you can add Tony Parker as a potential big if we miss on Ochefu.

Outside chance at Drummond too... it's who pulls the trigger first.

Don't forget Ware and Pollard as big/wing recruits.
