Anybody else order these through the Hoop Club 14 months ago and not received them yet? The link on guhoyas.com says that should have arrived by mid-February, but no dice for me. Just checking if anyone else is in a similar situation and might know how to resolve it. Thanks!

Decided not to get them this year, so I can't help you PGFC. Went in 2008 and it was a good time, but still not as good as home games in our usual seats or the BET at the Garden.

Tracked it all down finally yesterday, tickets were printed at the Verizon Center last week, going out this week. Ticketmaster was clueless, Got to someone AT Verizon who knew who I was and had my location and seat numbers. I called Georgetown and left a message on Sunday. assume that they took care of it,
Looking on Stubhub,m the normal HHC locations for the NCAAs have no seats for sale, so I assume that everyone who has the better lowers are in the same batch.

For those who have received their tickets from GU, where are they in the arena?

For the record, I went to a tourney game at Verizon years ago and was dismayed by the lack of alcohol sales. I would check before you go and take appropriate counter measures...

IIRC, all of the March Madness venues are obligated to suspend alcohol sales as a precondition for hosting tournament games. Madness indeed.

I sent in a trouble ticket to Ticketmaster on Feb 21st asking about my tickets. They got back to me on the 22nd saying they were going out that week, and they got someone on the Verizon Center staff to say what my seats were.
Of course they didn't really go out as I'm still waiting for them.

Madness indeed. does that include the acela club? i remember their being a special place inside the georgia dome to get alcohol during the 2007 FF

I haven't received my tickets yet either. I just called Ticketmaster and spoke with a rep who said that "no one" has received tickets yet due to a printing error, that they've been getting a lot of calls, and that "all" of them will be mailed out on March 7. Seems strange given the other comments here...but I guess I'll hope to receive them late next week. Edit: This page from GU Hoyas gives a contact name and number at VZ Center if tickets are not received by March 9.

The last I checked, the number one advertiser during the tourny is Anheuser Busch. It's okay to hit up the larger audience, but not those who actually pay to be at the games. Such BS.

All correct. I got an email back from Steve Alleva saying the NCAA was running behind (huge surprise) and that they would arrive this week. Then I got home and the UPS package was there...good seats too. So, anyone who doesn't have them, they are coming this week apparently, but hit Steve up if they don't arrive. According to him, there is a contact at Verizon who can help.
Re: the beer sales...such a debacle the NCAA doesn't serve at its events. I imagine the Iron Horse will be pretty busy and plan to take advantage. I remember being in Winston-Salem during the Hoyas Final 4 run and all they had was a tent with beer. Of course the tent was also sponsored by the NCAA and showing all of the tourney games. Why they can't just serve during the game I don't know, but the NCAA seems ripe for a disruptive innovation.

Recommendation, if you can just bring in a small pint of liquor and drink whiskey & coke all day. It worked fine when I went awhile back. Discretion advised!

Agreed, that was one of the things I meant by "counter measures". There was a distinct smell of Jack all around me from people that planned ahead... hm
