found an earlier thread that referenced a discussion of this topic, but didn't see an answer. seems like a no brainer at this point if the option remains available.

Hey CT - I did a search for "moses redshirt." i got one thread response with no clear answer. the search function on this site ain't exactly google. sorry i had the audacity to ask a question that those spending every waking minute on the board may have previously touched on. also, get Editeded.

a simple summation of the previous discussion on this topic would be great. then i'll retreat to lurking and leave posting to the board dorks that post 1,000 time a year (all of them wonderful constructive contributions).

I'll do my best stab at it: (1) The baseline rule is that once the player plays a single minute, he cannot redshirt (2) An exception to that rule is (1) the player gets injured and (2) the player plays in less than 1/3 of the team's games as a result of the injury. (3) Moses has played a few minutes. However, he is not injured (to the best of our knowledge). Therefore, he does not fall under the exception.

Can Chris redshirt? We could really use another year of him at PG.

Can you apply for a redshirt based on a shooting slump?

hoyabinx, thank you.
everyone else, sorry for wasting your time by asking a question. from now on, i'll do my best to avoid "clutter" to allow more space for you to rephrase the same sentiment you've expressed regarding your particular pet issue for the 1,000 time.

Moses doesn't need to redshirt, right? I mean, there are plenty of players who've gotten little to no time early on with JTIII

nothing wrong with posting Just Cos - i just find it off putting that i get ridiculed for asking an honest, relevant question because "the regulars" perceive the topic to have been discussed too much at some point in the past.

C'mon Z, anyone who has posted more than twice should know - any post will elicit discussion and dissension; if you had asked whether JTIII was related to JT Jr. there would have been dozens of responses arguing both sides of the issue!

They are not related! It was a scam by JTIII to get hired by a high major institution!! THE WORLD IS ENDING!!

I think one poster took issue with rehashing this issue. Everyone else was just joking around because it has been discussed so many times.
