This game was impossible to watch in person. I never seen such a soft team as we are. I don't care who wants to disagree or kill me for saying this. How the hell can you let kimba repeatly drive to basket and make us look like fools. A guy like that you have to intiminate him and knock him on his ass. Where's our enforcer? So frustrating! The only thing more predictable than an impressive Big East winning streak ending (on the road against a top 15 team, btw) is that you and those like you would come out of the woodwork and post something like this after that inevitable loss. If you think the Hoyas are soft because it takes a kid playing out of his mind, making circus shots, acting like a clown when the crap he throws up goes in (flexing his muscles would have been a T if Calhoun hadn't just got one), and some kid who averages 5 a game ALSO playing out of his mind to beat us, well then your definition of soft is ridiculous. We lost to a top 15 team on the road. Its the Big East. Move on. For me, OBJECTIVELY, I would take our team 10 times out of 10.

First of all im "not one of those posters" I dont hate on this team or coach. I posted in this thread that this team is better than uconn and better coached than uconn. Overall im very proud and impressed with this teams progression. I dont think overall this team is soft so it was probably a bad choice of words but it was right after a game I really wanted to win. I do think We should have tryed to intiminate Kemba and his antics were dispicable. Eventhough RDF says its not "The 80's" anymore I still subscribe certain times where excesive force is needed. Thats all my point was BINX. Like I said cut me some slack Binx this is my CUSE game. I was wearing all my hoya gear in that crappy arena last night. If anything im guilty of being extra frustrated, but not coming out of the woodwork....

To call this team soft is simply silly. A soft team would not play the toughest OOC schedule in the country, have a swoon against what is in retrospect three excellent teams, with 2 on the road, and then turn it around to win 8 in a row , including road wins at VU and SU, and holding off Louisville at home.

In 2007 we were on a roll in the BE. We won 11 in a row. Then we went up to "my" Cuse and got blown out to end the streak. Games like this happen. If fact, this team showed more fight last night than the 07 team did at Cuse. Just thinking about that gets me uncontrollably excited!

Seeing Kemba put his fists up make hulk hogan bicep moves to the crowd and there is no repercusions is baffeling. What would you suggest be done? Punch the guy? Get a flagrant or technical? Get ejected? Be suspended for our next game? Do you even have a point?

Understand the frustration and believe me--if Walker lost a tooth or two--wouldn't bother me at all--but with today's rules and the ridicilous overreaction to physical play--it wasn't time/place to throw a bow or knock the snot out of him. Hoyas can't afford to lose a player to suspension or in the game-how would it help to be without Julian/Nate if lost to ejection?
You want to stop Walker---be physical with him by making him go through picks on defense, then throwing some pressure at him to wear him down---and force other guys on that team to hit deep jumpshots to beat you. Problem was--Walker found teammates for layups/dunks early and UConn shredded a poor zone defense by Hoyas--which III alluded to overall-the lack of help defense from guys was bad last night.
Tip hat to them for last night and move on to USF with energy on defense and playing same offensively--which has been solid enough to win any/every game the past 9 games.

It was such a tight game until the very end -- if we had stolen out of there with a one-basket win, then all of the in-game taunting, flexing, screaming, and general mugging for the camera that Walker and the rest pulled throughout would have looked extremely stupid in the replay. The Huskies are fortunate in that respect.

The flex move was bush league but it's the kind of crap that makes SportsCenter and Kemba knows that. I find it ironic, however, that he flexes on that play and flops on every other one.
I'd mind the flex even less if we had played tighter D and won the game. It's easy to point to stuff like that after a frustrating loss. That said, I'm not overly impressed with UConn and like our chances a lot in a rematch.

Kemba would have gotten a T if Calhoun hadn't just got a "questionable" T. (I say questionable because it was something no one publicly would see)

I cant wait to get another shot at them. My dream right now is for me to see them personally in MSG. Everyone is welcomed to join me! I need to get rid of that stench that is Kimba.

Seriously, can we lock up threads like this? Do we really want to be engaging in a conversation about how our team is soft because we lost a game? This is just ridiculous. We are better than this. It's run its course. On to the next game.
ON EDIT: Thanks for changing the title. That was more to my point.

Someone really needs to change the title of this thread. Its a mockery for us fans who actually really appreciate what the team accomplished between Jan. 15th and feb. 15th.

Me I would have tryed to intiminate him and get him mentally off his game. Whatever. I didnt mean the hoyas are soft every game or anything. I just meant that game we might have been well served to take it to him more.. No worries..
